Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Very disappointing experience with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. When I reviewed my claim in the app, it showed no invoice attached, no medical records attached, and no supporting documents attached. This raised serious concerns about how claims are reviewed. Customer service responses felt scripted and no one could give clear answers. After paying monthly premiums and trusting this company, the lack of transparency was extremely frustrating. I recommend pet owners research other options carefully before choosing Healthy Paws. They pay NOTHING!

Predatory practices, STAY AWAY. I am filing a complaint with the department of insurance and also reaching out to this law firm to pursue a class action lawsuit: Haffner Lawyers in LA I hope you will join me. We must not let them get away with being so soulless, predatory and unethical. My story: I have four cats under Healthy Paws pet insurance, all of different ages. In 2024, my premium was $390+, already preposterous but manageable. They tried to raise it to over $900, but luckily I was able to bring it down to about $450 (still wild) by increasing some deductibles and lowering the percentage reimbursed for many of the cats. But then this year they are again raising the price to close to 1k, with my senior cat being $700 of that! This is INHUMANE, as they are basically trying to price out my senior cat, right when he needs his insurance most, and after we've been loyal customers for his entire life! So unethical! And the only options they offer to lower the price is to drastically lower my cats' coverage to the point where it wouldn't really even be useful, even for emergencies! Like I said above, this is predatory behavior.

I could not be more impressed with the customer service and timely payment from Healthy Paws. My 1 1/2 year old dog got stung by a bee and went into anaphylactic shock. I rushed her to the emergency vet after she collapsed in my arms. She spent the night and made a full recovery. Healthy Paws reimbursed me within two days, and Lizzie has gone on to have bee venom immunotherapy which is a cure for her going into shock again if she is stung. Healthy Paws was there for me again and has been supportive in this quest of making Lizzie's life be normal and healthy. I will forever be a customer f this company. My daughter and sister have had the same experience with Healthy Paws. We all love them!

My boy Avery, (cat), got a severe reaction to fumes when I was water proofing my shoes. Please be aware cats are highly sensitive to smells from air fresheners to chemical fumes. Embrace paid their share of the bill very quickly almost $4000. Thank you Nick for the very nice sympathy card.
