Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy Paws provides an amazing service for pet owners. With 3 tiers of coverage to choose from (different coverage percentages and annual deductibles that correspond to different monthly rates), the plans are very flexible. They also cover a wide range of health issues and services - in my review, I found very little fine print about what isn't covered. Having recently used Healthy Paws for expenses related to an accident, I can say first-hand how essential it is for your pet insurance provider to offer low-stress claims processing. Their mobile app makes it ridiculously easy to submit a claim. No need to deal with paper, forms or even discuss the insurance with your vet. Simply scan a photo of your receipt through the app and hit "Submit." Within a few days, the claim is processed (status updates are available through the app), and the check is not far behind. Best of all, even though you're doing all of this through an app, you learn that there are actual human beings on the other end who genuinely care about the well-being of your pet. They check in via email, and there really is a person there - not a robot. Bravo Healthy Paws!

My husband and I got a bulldog puppy 18 months ago. I had heard stories about bulldog problems and one of my friends suggested pet insurance. She had a suggested one, but I did my own research and selected Healthy Paws. It was fortuitous because Bow developed many ailments peculiar to bulldogs. I selected Healthy Paws because I had read good reviews. It was also important that they treat breed specific ailments, something many pet insurance companies dont't do. I chose coverage that paid 70% of covered treatments. They do not cover general maintenance like shots, etc. Healthy Paws has exceeded my expectations. Submitting claims is easy using the Healthy Paws app on my phone. I simply take a picture of the vet"s invoice and send it to them. They pay very quickly. A check arrives within 7-10 days. On occasion they have asked for more information which I had the vet email them. Bow's treatments have been expensive and I don't know how we would have managed without this coverage. We are very happy with this pet insurance. The claims process is simple and quick, and they cover what they say they will cover. We have had four dogs in our household insured for the last 4-5 yrs and have had numerous claims, the last one being for emergency surgery costing over $2,400 which was covered at 90% after $100 deductible. They have great customer service and I think they really care about our pets. If only insurance for people worked this way the world would be a better place. Thank you Healthy Paws!

I absolutely love Healthy Paws Pet Insurance! Our two year old chihuahua Layla was attacked and bit by another dog recently. She suffered deep puncture wounds on her back leg, and my husband and I were devastated and very worried. She needed emergency surgery, a hospital stay for two nights, lab tests, and several vet appointments. The vet bills really added up quickly, but knowing we had insurance for her really put us at ease about the bills and allowed us to focus on her recovery. I submitted the bills easily online with Healthy Paws, and they approved the claims very quickly, and without any questions. Healthy Paws paid over $1,600 of Layla's vet bills (90% of covered charges, minus the deductible). She recovered surprisingly quickly and is back to her old self. Thank you Healthy Paws!!!
