Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

My cat had to have knee surgery, including x-rays, numerous vet visits and medication. Healthy paws covered everything they promised in our contract, promptly paid, and were friendly and caring on the phone conversations we had.

We could not have asked for a more caring group of people than the staff of Healthy Paws. They were prompt and courteous at all times, showed great concern for our dog Levi, and still show interest in his well being.we have nothing but praise and high regard for Healthy Paws. We would recommend them to anyone contemplating purchasing insurance for their pets. I shopped around before we made the decision to go with Healthy Paws. We are pleased and thankful for their caring.

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance may be the only insurance company that I've encountered where the people on the other side of the insurance claim actually care. Recently I had to file a very large claim after our dog had severe intestinal issues. My dog had exploratory surgery during a five-day hospital stay, and when we brought our dog home, the vet only gave him a 50/50 chance. As soon as I knew our dog would live, I filed the claim. I was very relieved at how simple it was to file the claim and pleasantly surprised that Healthy Paws contacted me on two different occasions just to check on how our dog was doing. Healthy Paws doesn't cover all the routine maintenance bills for vaccinations, but they are rock stars when it's an emergency. The greatest downfall of Healthy Paws in my eyes is that they haven't expanded to human insurance.

I can not say enough great things about Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. I was very hesitant to get pet insurance for my pup Winston but I'm so glad I did and I'm even more glad I chose Healthy Paws. My fur baby fell very ill and needed X-rays as well as medication for some bad tummy issues he was having. His vet bill was very high but I ended up only paying a very small portion of the bill thanks to Healthy Paws . I submitted the claim on a Sunday evening and got a email Monday morning that my reimbursement check was on it's way which I received that Thursday. Not only that Healthy Paws also emailed me asking how Winston is doing. They are a great company who truly care about animals and helping us pet parents get our fur babies the best care possible. If you're shopping for pet insurance you can't go wrong with Healthy Paws.

We purchased our first pet insurance for our third Corgi, not because we had particular problems before but it just seemed like it could be handy. Before he was even 3 months old we were faced with an ingested toy that needed to be gastrically removed. Healthy Paws to the rescue! Within our first year of puppyhood, our poor guy also had a hernia surgery and a second "foreign body" removal while he was with our pet sitter. Holy heck we've been glad to have Healthy Paws. They are quick to process claims for reimbursement and I love that you can upload invoices and check on claims directly via their app. The only reason I'm not giving them a full 5 stars is that we did have a direct payment authorized to our vet which was delayed--causing us to look a little flakey to our vet's office. Otherwise, great service, easy to use and fair prices. (we also love that you can choose your coverage and deductible levels)
