Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

We have been Healthy Paws customers for 3 years. We, previously with other dogs, had a different coverage. We were not happy about their coverage limitations. They did not cover a CCL (Cranial Cruciate Ligament) surgery, and they had illness and injury caps, not to mention lifetime caps. Our 3-year old Labrador, Sam, just had CCL surgery. It is a very expensive surgery that involves steel plates and screws. Sam had the surgery less than 3 weeks ago and we have already received full reimbursement, minus our deductable and office visit. No questions asked. We have a 90% reimbursement and $500 deductable plan. There are other plan options available. Healthy Paws has been wonderful and provides valuable coverage. Claims can easily be submitted on line. I highly recommend that every pet owner have pet insurance. It alleviates the dilemma as to how to care for your pet in the best way possible, especially in an emergency, and not breaking the bank. I believe Healthy Paws’ comprehensive and affordable insurance is the best way to give you peace of mind.

Healthy Paws services have been so outstanding that I am taking the time to write this review. Having a beloved pet that goes through a traumatic illness, is saved by surgery, and then six months later has the same thing and has to be put down is really difficult, but Healthy Paws at least made the pain of filing claims as easy as possible. The coverage is straightforward with no hidden gotchas, no arguments, and no stalling. Both the first claim in January and the second for the same issue in July were processed promptly. They worked directly with the clinic to get the medical records they needed with little to no bothering me and I had reimbursement checks within two weeks. I was surprised and touched to receive a condolence card in the mail with six personalized messages from staff members. This is a great company and I highly recommend.

I have coverage for two dogs and one cat. One of my dogs and my cat have rarely (if ever) used the coverage, HOWEVER - my second dog was diagnosed with cancer at only a 1.5 years old. I never had to consider cost when choosing the best possible care for him. Filing claims was easy, and I was paid quickly. I had one very minor issue with a claim; I called HealthyPaws, the customer service was exceedingly nice, and they fixed it immediately. When friends discuss adopting a dog, it's the first thing I suggest. Get. Insurance. You never want to have to make a medical decision based on what you can or can't afford.

My Healthy Paws experience has been wonderful. This is a truly reputable organization that cares for its customers and their furry companions. They are quick to process claims and stand by their word. I even received a very nice email from Tim Weiss, a Claws and Paws Protector checking in on my pup. They are good people and I highly recommend you sign up with them. I cannot thank them enough. :)

Five Satisfied Stars for Healthy Paws Pet Insurance from me! At the time my four year old German Shepherd was diagnosed with Bladder Stones, Healthy Paws Pet Insurance was there for us! The claim for her care, prescriptions and surgery was promptly processed and I couldn't be happier. Their team also reached out to me to follow up on my dog's recovery and progress! They have always been courteous with regard to any questions; but I didn't even have any because it all went so smoothly.
