Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I LOVE healthy paws. Their monthly premiums are competitive with other plans, their claims department pays very quickly and I even got a personal email checking on my dogs recovery from a recent illness. I like the fact that I am responsible to pay for my dogs standard preventive care and the insurance only covers unexpected costs. That makes me responsible for the day to day costs while giving me the peace of mind that if something unexpected occurs, I have the coverage I need. Now I know why Healthy Paws has such a great rating. I recommend using them.

Having a sick pet can be emotionally and financially exhausting. Getting pet insurance was the smartest move I ever made, and going with Healthy Paws was my best choice. After quite a bit of shopping around, I felt that Healthy Paws had the best plan for my new puppy. This is the absolute BEST pet insurance out there! I can’t thank Healthy Paws enough for their kindness through my dog’s emergency surgery. My Golden Retriever (just over a year old), had to have a foreign body surgery because she ate something that she was not supposed to. Not only was this terrifying, but I knew that bills would add up quickly. I wanted the best care for my dog, at the emergency vet that I chose, and any treatment/procedure that she needed done, done. I just wanted my pup back! In the back of my mind I knew I had insurance and I knew that whatever she needed to have done, was getting done. I wasn’t prepared for the overwhelming amount kindness and concern that they, Healthy Paws, had for my dog. Not only did they hold up their end and process the claims quickly and cover what they said they would, they checked in on my dog along the way! Not anything automated-a real person, a person who cares and loves animals themselves. The claims were processed quickly and the check was in my hand soon after. The process was as painless as possible, and it took so much stress off of me. I was able to be there for my pup 100% and not worry about cost. I love Healthy Paws, and I recommend them to everyone I know who has pets. Submitting claims is super simple (you just take a picture of the vet invoice with your phone), and they usually approve claims very quickly. I had one claim that was approved about 15 minutes after I submitted it. In my experience, they pay for everything that they say they will. Recently my cat was suddenly diagnosed with a rare, life-threatening condition and the vet recommended major surgery that would cost thousands of dollars. The decision was an easy one for me, since I knew that Healthy Paws would pay for 90% of the surgery. I'm very glad that I can make decisions about my cat's medical care based on what she needs and not what it costs.
