Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Obtained Healthy Paws Ins when pup was less than 1 yr old. Had a few claims over the years but it wasn't until this year when my pooch (8 yrs) tore the meniscus and ligament in one knee did we really need the ins. help. And, Healthy Paws was there for us! And, very quickly the claim was paid to us! I listen to others tell about their pet ins. co. and nobody has a policy as good as Healthy Paws offers. Yes, the premiums increase yearly, however, nothing compared to the cost of veterinary care!

After reading so many pet insurance reviews, I feel like I held my breath when ordering for our new puppy. But I could not be happier that I did, and Healthy Paws has not only erased any doubts I had, but they've actually set a new benchmark in my expectations for ANY insurance (car and human included!) Within the first few months of having our dog, Patsy, we had a very scary seizure incident that required a trip to the emergency room, and we opened up a Care Credit card just to cover the $4,000 bill. Within 2 weeks, we received a check covering the 80%, along with the nicest notes of well-wishes for our girl. After realizing the seizures required medication, Healthy Paws still covers 80% of her Keppra medication (about $50 per month which we get from Costco) and has also covered an incident where Patsy ran into another dog chasing the same ball, knocking out 3 front teeth and requiring stitches. I could not be more impressed or satisfied with these guys, and I recommend them to all of my pet-owning friends. It's hard enough seeing your dog in pain, let alone having to worry about what credit card you'll need to max out just to see them not suffer anymore. Do yourself and your furry friends a favor, and sign up for Healthy Paws as soon as you can. We love them!

I am impressed with the way Healthy Paws Insurance works immediately to process your claim. My dog was bitten by a copperhead and had some expensive treatment (that he's totally worth!). The insurance was almost the first two years worth of premiums. The thing is, you hope and pray you don't have any reason to make a claim. But if and when you do, it's nice to deal with a company that is intent on good customer service.
