Better than my personal health insurance

HealthyPaws is the BEST health insurance for your pet. Everything promised is delivered, without question. The reimbursement check for my pet's latest procedure came within 10 days! He didn't even have his sutures removed yet.I love that they have no limit on coverage and that they give back to homeless pets in need. I contemplated insurance for my pets for a very long time (whether it was really necessary or not). I'm so glad that I chose to do it. If you do anything more for your pet in the year besides vaccines, get this health insurance! It makes decisions like testing, surgery, visits to the vet so easy to make!

Pet Insurance Made Simple

Did exactly what they said they'd do. I've had HP for about 18 months with no claims. Once I easily submitted a claim online, they verified history with my vet, approved the claim, and mailed me a check. Whole process took about 10 days.

Best Pet Insurance!

They have a very fair policy about what they will reimburse, and are very quick about sending reimbursements to their customers. I have had a very positive experience with Healthy Paws and would recommend them to others.

So worth it if you have a troublemaker pet!

I'm so happy with Healthy Paws pet insurance! My husband and I have 3 dogs (we only had two when we first purchased a policy for one dog). We knew as soon as we got the one dog, Kya (a Pit Bull/Pointer mix), that she was going to be trouble! We were right. I think we started a policy for her in fall/winter 2014. In March 2016 we discovered she ate a bunch of mouse poison that we had under our house. Luckily we figured it out within 20 minutes of her doing it. We made her throw up, but we still took her to the vet. The vet did some emergency treatment, but closed at 6pm for the weekend, so we had to take her to another location for her to stay the night. After we took her home the next day, I got my bills together and sent them to Healthy Paws on Monday. The claim was processed within the week and I received a reimbursement check soon after that. Our little troublemaker got into more trouble in July 2016. She had eaten part of the rug one day. We didn't think too much of it, but she threw up here and there for a few days in a row. After one day when she threw up a LOT, I took her to an emergency vet. She seemed fine, but thankfully I decided to have x-rays taken, which showed there was some caught in her intestines and she needed surgery to remove it. She had surgery that night. I picked her up the next day, and filed my claim the following day. Again, Healthy Paws processed the claim very quickly - within the same day! I received the reimbursement check a few days later. We chose 90% reimbursement for Kya, with either $200 or $250 annual deductible. In total, we've had around $4,500 in emergency vet/surgery bills, and we've been reimbursed for most of that thanks to the pet insurance. Customer service is always quick to respond too, when I've emailed then to clarify my claims. We have an older dog now, and although the policy would cost more (and the deductible would be more) for an older dog, we're considering getting a Healthy Paws policy for him, since he's pretty klutzy too. The only thing I wish Healthy Paws included is an option for healthy visit coverage, to help out with yearly pet costs, but emergency coverage is better than nothing. I highly recommend Healthy Paws pet insurance to anyone who has a trouble maker pet or would just like the peace of mind knowing the policy is there if you need it!

Healthy Paws is AWESOME-the ABSOLUTE BEST

I have had 14 cats in my life and now have three – Twixi -5, Smoochie – 4 (picture attached of the 2 lovebirds) and Squiggles – 4 monthsI have used many health insurance companies with lots of frustrations until I found Healthy Paws 4 years ago. And they are just AMAZING! Within hours of submitting a claim, and I am talking about thousands of dollars (even on weekends) I get an email from them stating “claim processing” and then several hours later “claim completed”, click here for summary. They do not keep requesting more and more documents and look for a million reasons not to pay like other pet health insurance companies. And they have a “super app” where you just take a photo of your paid itemized invoice, nothing else and push submit claim and done. And their pricing is also very competitive covering more illnesses than other carriers. In fact, I was so impressed and elated when they covered “home physical therapy” for my Smoochie who had a very unusual spinal stroke and have paid me tens of thousands of dollars so she can still be part of our family. Also, the staff is so nice when you speak with them, very responsive – they just really care and it shows. Bottom line, they respect and believe in their clients. I love to see nice little positive uplifting notes in their emails covering claims. I feel so fortunate every time I hear from them. If 10 were the highest rating I would give them a thousand. My congratulations to the founder, owner for running such an efficient caring business. And my husband’s biggest wish is that he wants to make me as happy as Healthy Paws does.
