Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

My beautiful Bernese is 6 now and has had Healthy Paws insurance since he was 3 months. He's had two tendon and ligament surgeries and Healthy Paws was there with me every step of the way. My first Berner had cancer and we didn't have insurance. It was too expensive and there was nothing more we could afford to do. I have been with Healthy Paws for almost 8 years. When I adopted my rescue dog from the Humane Society several years ago, I really took my time and researched all of the different companies and policies out there and compared all of them carefully. I chose Healthy Paws not only because they have really good rates and benefits (which they do) but also because they are so upfront with their benefits and pricing. They don’t try to scam or trick you like a lot of other companies do. They are completely honest and trustworthy, which is so refreshing from an insurance company!! A big difference from other companies is that there is no per-incident cap, annual cap, or lifetime cap on benefits. However, the real clincher for me is that they even give back to help homeless pets. How many companies do that? I am so glad that I chose Healthy Paws. I tell everyone I know (including my vet) about their insurance and always recommend them. Submitting claims is super easy to do online, and my claims are processed promptly and reimbursement done easily with direct deposit into my checking account. After my senior dog recently had a growth removed from his leg, I even got a personal follow-up e-mail from them just to check up on my furry pal to see how he was recovering and to send him best wishes from Healthy Paws! I normally don’t take the time to write reviews, but this company really is exceptional. If you don’t have time to research and compare the different pet insurance companies, you can take my word for it that this is the one to go with.

Healthy paws covered everything they said they would, they didnt wriggle out of paying benefits. they didnt even skimp on U&C. I LOVE my dog insurance.

I have had a wonderful experience using Healthy Paws Insurance. My 6 month old ragdoll kitten, Teddy needed emergency veterinary care which included a 3 day weekend in the hospital with an internal medicine specialist. The vets were not sure what was wrong with Teddy and said many possibilities such as "he may need a blood transfusion, he may be neurological etc etc..." - for once in my life I was not worried or stressed about the money because I had Healthy Paws. It felt so different to deal with a pet illness and not have to worry about the financial side and only instead focus on making sure that your pet receives whatever treatment is necessary. So far, Teddy has had $4,600 in veterinary expenses in a short 6 week period. Healthy Paws has delivered exactly the coverage that they stated in the policy and has covered 80% of eligible expenses. This made a huge difference in my finances. Now we have three pets on Healthy Paws, my mother has her cat on Healthy Paws and my mother-in-law has her two pets insured as well. I am recommending them to everyone that has pets - this has given me so much peace of mind and it has enabled me to afford the type of excellent veterinary care that I want my pet to receive. I hope that they do not drop us after having such a large claim for such a young kitten but I don't think they will as we have two other pets insured. I would also like to note that we had another pet that died of heart disease. He was insured by Healthy Paws but we did not file any claims because his heart condition was revealed before we got coverage for him. Healthy Paws mailed us a sympathy card with HANDWRITTEN condolences from multiple staff members at Healthy Paws - I thought that was extremely thoughtful and it really made a difference in how we view the company.

Healthy paws is the best insurance out there. They go beyond just a regular insurance company, they actually care! Didn't experience any problems when submitting a claim. It was such a smooth process and their follow ups on my pets health was very well appreciated. This is a company that I will recommend and stay for a very long time . I had an emergency with my furry baby and Healthy Paws was by my side the whole time. They gave me an opportunity to worry less financially and concentrate on my furry baby. Healthy paws you guys rock, just simply awesome!
