Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I researched the heck out of pet insurance companies and landed on Healthy Paws. They have great rates, low deductibles and unlike some carriers they do not outright exclude hereditary conditions (how are you supposed to know if your cute puppy is going to have bad hips one day?) I have owned previous pets with exensive, unexpected medical bills an insisted to my partner we get medical insurance out of the gate for our new rescue puppy. He was skeptical until we received our 1st emergency vet bill after our puppy did something ridiculous like puppies do. THAT changed his tune! I recommend Healthy Paws to friends, clients and even our vet. Not only is it a great insurance policy, they are great pet-loving folks. Even after a claim was closed they emailed to check in on our dog. Even when our dog ATE part of the reimbursement check and they had to send another. Ha!

About a year after I adopted my rescue pup he was diagnosed with a serious disease. He had been in remission for almost two years but recently had a flare-up. Both times he was ill he had to go to the emergency room, and then needed numerous follow-up ultrasounds and other costly tests and treatments. Healthy Paws has been absolutely wonderful. Filing a claim is easy, claims are processed very quickly, and everyone I have spoken to is knowledgeable and caring. Healthy Paws is the best!

Having healthy paws has really given us peace of mind with our yellow lab Duke. Filing the claims are super easy, and they always check in to see how he is doing after his Vet visit. We definitely recommend having healthy paws as your pet insurance provider!

Our 3 1/2 year old lab, Bauer, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in his hind leg recently. We had to make the decision to get his leg amputated so he would have relief from pain. He has recently started chemo treatment and is doing great. Healthy Paws has been fantastic throughout this entire process. Submitting claims is so easy and payment is received within 10 days via direct deposit. Having Healthy Paws has allowed us to get Bauer the care we could not otherwise afford. Healthy Paws truly cares!!! They contacted me to ask how Bauer is doing and to let me know they are always available if I have any questions. I give Healthy Paws a 5 star rating!!!!
