Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I bought pet insurance when my dog was still a puppy and figured I wouldn’t need it until she was an old dog. I never expected my three and a half year old dog to need more than regular vet visits - but she tore her cruciate ligament while walking, just walking. It was unexpected as she was a healthy, active, and very physically fit dog. I was looking at a big surgery and thousands and thousands of dollars in bills. Healthy Paws made this incredibly stressful time much easier - I was able to upload all of her medical information and bills on their website and it was approved within days. Within a week of approval I received a check and an email from the company checking in to see how my dog was doing. I am thankful to have had Healthy Paws so that my pet could get excellent medical care. Life is unexpected and you never know when you will need health insurance, and the same goes for our pets!

My French Bulldog has had numerous medical issues since I brought him home, all which have been treatable but still costly. Recently he was diagnosed with IBD and need thousands of dollars of testing. I am thankful every day that he is covered under HP because I never worried that I would not be able to pay for his treatments. You hope that you never need to use your insurance but if you do you WANT HP. All my claims has been quickly processed and paid and I never had an issue with any of my submissions. I am thankful every day he has HP behind him. They truly love your pet as much as you do!

My dog has a sensitive stomach and was hospitalized for it twice now. Healthy paws makes it easy to file a claim and is fast with reimbursement. They have excellent customer service. I highly recommend using them!

Healthypaws has just been a lifesaver for me! My three year old Yorkshire Terrier, Indiana, has torn both of his hind ACLs and had to undergo a total of 3 surgeries -- and they were a small fortune! Thankfully, healthypaws has been there for us and reimbursed me at a 90% level. If I did not have healthypaws, I would not have been able to get Indy the physical rehabilitation he needed for months after each surgery, which was also covered at 90%! I've recommended healthypaws to everyone I know that gets a new pup -- I think it is the best insurance out there :) Their customer service team also sends emails to check up on Indy post-surgery and see how he is doing -- it is a nice personal touch. Cannot say enough about this company!

My huskimo got very sick and it was going to cost us 2,000 to get her healthy again. Healthy Paws covered 80% of it excluding the exam fee and what was left on my $250 deductible. My girl is healthy again! Healthy Paws made it possible for us to afford the care that she needed. And they even checked up on her a couple of weeks later to ask how she was doing. They have already covered FAR beyond what we pay monthly. So worth it. One of the best decisions we made!
