Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Since signing on with Healthy Paws mid 2013, we have made several online claims for our little Westie. All have been handled quickly, with minimal effort on our part and maximal reimbursement as outlined in our policy. The team at Healthy Paws has always taken a personal interest in the health of our pet, quickly responds to our inquiries and keeps us updated on the progress of each claim. We could not be happier with Healthy Paws and take great comfort in knowing, in times of distress, that our pet can continue to receive the best available veterinary care.

We decided to go with Healthy Paws after researching several insurance companies before getting our first puppy, and what a blessing it has been for us. In the first two months of owning our puppy she had an extended stay at the hospital. The Healthy Paws staff was helpful on the phone and through claims processing. They were incredibly fast and it was always clear what was and wasn't covered. It's so nice having the peace of mind that there are no annual or lifetime maximums, and that our puppy will always be covered. We're so thankful for Healthy Paws and will be insuring any future pets with them.

We didn't really have a significant problem that triggered reimbursement for a few years, but when we did Healthy Paws was a life-saver. They have been consistent with reimbursements and never discourage us from getting treatment to avoid expense. They are absolutely wonderful. Wish my health insurance was as supportive!

I will start from the beginning, I tried to enroll online, and would not go through and received an email from them to call them to set it up over the phone, which I had no problem with all of that. I called them to set everything up and even gave my card number. The person I talked to said everything is set up and that there is a 15 day waiting period, and that I will receive a welcome email. Again, I was pleased with everything up to this point. Then fast forward 16 days and I have not heard or received anything. I called to ask about my policy and the person I talked to said it was pending because something went wrong and that he would have a specialist look at it. Still I'm fine with the process to this point, but then the specialist comes on and says we can re-enroll you today and you will just have to wait another 15 days for the policy to kick in. I told them I will if they start my policy today since this was their fault and did not notify me when it didn't go through. She had the nerve to say you should have called us. I got to talk to a manager next and they basically told me they have no record of my call and said it was my fault. What really happened is they screwed up and will not admit it. It was very hard to find a place to leave a review for this company because they don't have this option on their website. If they treat people like this trying to enroll, I can't even imagine how filing claims would be.

I recently had to use my Healthy Paws pet insurance for the first time. I submitted 12 claims in less than theee months and I have to say, their claims process is incredibly easy. I just asked my vet to email Daisy’s records to Healthy Paws. Then I used the app to take a picture of my invoice, hit submit, and it was done. Literally took me less than 30 seconds. I worked in a vet clinic and have had to fill out claims for many different pet insurance companies. Not one of them came even close to the ease of making a claim with Healthy Paws. They paid my claim within 10 days, keeping me informed of where they were in the process the whole time. And they even cover things that other companies don’t, like acupuncture. I’m so grateful for Healthy Paws insurance. I couldn’t have gotten Daisy the care she needed without them.
