Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I got a new puppy so I decided to get pet insurance for him. I have been a dog owner for 40 years but never had insurance before. I did lots of research and chose Healthy Paws. I am so so glad I did. He had an ER visit for repeated vomiting and then surgery for a possible bowel obstruction. Through all the stress of being worried for my boy, one less worry was how to pay for all of it. Healthy Paws paid their portion of the bill without hassle, even when he had to be put under again to repair the incision. I and my pup thank you, Healthy Paws!!!!!

My 9 year old Golden Retriever was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. I was so overwhelmed when I found out. I was afraid I would not be able to pay for her treatment. Thankfully she was insured with Healthy Paws Ins. I submitted my claim and I had an email response immediately letting me know they received my claim and were working on it. Shortly thereafter I received their response that her treatment would be covered at 80% minus the annual deductible of $250. I'm very relieved that my fur baby is able to continue to receive the best treatment and I wont have to worry financially.

I am so grateful for Healthy Paws. My sister had bought me pet insurance for my labrador (who tends to eat things) a few years ago and since then she has had 3 medical procedures all of which Healthy Paws was able to cover 70% of the costs. It is super easy to submit your claim through their app, which makes the ease of everything so much better! Beyond the coverage, Healthy Paws kindly will send emails to check in on how she did post-op. Definitely worth the investment.

After going from one Pet insurance to another I finally settled with Healthy Paws few years ago. I have to say that I realized how smart this decision was only now after my German shepherd had a complicated knee surgery with bill exceeding $5200. I submitted my claim and within 7 days it was processed and paid at 80% reimbursement. I'm extremely lucky and very happy to have this insurance and highly recommend it to every pet owner.

I have been the owner of dogs most of my life. Due to health problems of my own, I utilize the services of a "trained service dog". The trainer whom I trained with required us to have pet insurance and after alot of research and yes, reading reviews, I decided Healthy Paws pet insurance was for us. Now, while we paid for insurance for over 2 years and never filed a claim (thankfully, because who wants a sick pup/cat), having this insurance is the best money I pay out every month. Unfortunately, my dog had some sort of stomach issue (colitis?) and weeks later after a freak accident, he was back at the vets office with a torn ACL. The expense for both of these combined has been over $3000.00!! So, having said all of that, I was very hesitant when it came to filing a claim and it's unfortunate that I wasted my time and energy over that because WOW, the process could not have been easier!! I simply took a picture of the vet bill, sent it in to Healthy Paws (via their app) and within 10-15 days, I had my portion of what was covered in my hand. There was no back and forth, they kept me informed every step of the way. Hands down the best decision was going with Healthy Paws!!
