Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy paws is the absolute best insurance. They have helped both of our dogs receive the care that we otherwise would not have been able to afford. They check in on the welfare of our dogs after care as well. It's easy to manage claims online and they have people who can quickly and personally help answer questions and problem solve any issues. If only people insurance were so incredibly useful! Healthy Paws is worth every penny.

I have had an incredibly positive experience with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. As brand new dog owners, we purchased a policy for Lola as soon as we adopted her, when she was months old. She was healthy and strong, and we thought we probably had nothing to worry about, yet wanted to be on the safe side. To my skeptical surprise, this insurance has come to my rescue twice, and I am incredibly grateful. The first time was when Lola was 3, and she was bit by another dog, and needed $500+ worth of surgery and medicine. The second time has been over the last 8 months, when Lola had a UTI that required some tests, and then a few month was later when she was diagnosed with aggressive heart disease. At this same time, I was in between jobs, so having Healthy Paws come through on their process, and cover her medications, emergency visits, and tests has been incredibly helpful and a huge weight off my shoulders. I cannot recommend this plan enough. It is so easy to use, all you do is snap a picture of the receipt, upload it to the app, and the team process and reimburses your claim very quickly. Additionally, the team at Healthy Paws has been very friendly and personable every time I've contacted them. They truly have been a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend purchasing a plan with them for your pet, as no matter how healthy your pet is when you adopt them, crazy circumstances can ensue, and it's so great to have a trustworthy company like Healthy Paws on your side.

I purchased pet insurance for my puppy expecting to not need it till his late stage of life. He came down with a serious illness when he was only 2 & was then diagnosed with a brain tumor at 4 yrs. Healthy Paws surpassed my wildest expectation of an Insurance company-from ease of filling, speed of processing claims & most importantly, sincere concern for my dog through personalized communication. Healthy Paws is the BEST pet insurance you can get. I highly recommend this company. Not only are their policies very inclusive and reasonable but their customer service is amazing!!!!! Our 1 1/2 year old golden just needed major surgery. Not only did we have peace of mind financially knowing that we had Healthy Paws to help us out, we had Healthy Paws actually there to support his recovery. We received many emails checking on his recovery and telling us to give him a great big hug. Amazing company!!

Our 3 year old bulldog went in for surgery to open up his airways to help him breathe more freely, but complications from the surgery resulted in him not being able to breathe at all. A planned overnight visit turned into six. Twice during the week the vet called me to caution they were concerned he would die soon. For all the pain it put him through, it was an emotional nightmare for us. In the end, he was transferred to another hospital where a second procedure cleared his airway and saved his life. The vet bill accumulated to $11,000, which we had to draw down our savings, borrow money from family, and open a new credit card to cover. Honestly, we didn’t have the financial ability to handle that expense, and the only reason we did was because of our confidence in our policy with Healthy Paws. And sure enough, less than a week after filing a claim it was approved, and our policy reibursed nearly 90% of the bill. What they cover and what they don’t is very clear from the start, and customer service is incredible. Representatives seemed genuinely concerned for the wellbeing of our dog in follow up calls and email. Our policy with Healthy Paws saved our dog’s life- we never could have considered the life saving procedure s that were necessary without it.
