Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I can't even began to thank Healthy Paws. Our dog is here with us today thanks to them. It's been a blessing to have this insurance from the beginning and I highly recommend every pet owner to have it. Healthy Paws thank you for always being there for us and for checking on our fur baby to see how he is doing.

As an Iraqi vet my cat O'Reilly is my battle buddy in transitioning to civilian life. He has saved me and Healthy Paws allowed me to save him. After conducting research into pet insurance carriers I found Healthy Paws to be superlative. They have certainly demonstrated to be. Claims were filed over the phone app and were approved within 2 days of submission. Healthy Paws has delivered time in and time again not only through O'Reilly's urinary issues but when I became concerned he may have ingested a foreign body. O'Reilly initially got blocked for which a urinary catheter was placed but shortly thereafter had urinary issues again. After taking him to the vet three times after which he was released without being blocked, his issues persisted. The last time I saw him near dead, with his head in the water bowl unable to even to drink. His bladder was rock hard. I rushed him to Animal Medical Center here in New York where he was kept for four days. A cystotomy was performed for which the bill was over 8k!! Any further delay and he would have passed. I could not have been able to sustain this expense. Healthy Paws took all my worry of payment from me so I could be there for my guy. They were there every step of the way, from my first call that I would have to take him in, to them kindly checking in after the claim was processed. Both O'Reilly and myself thank you all for providing us such good care. O'Reilly and myself are so appreciative of your help in keeping my battle buddy alive. I cannot thank you enough! My guy O'Reilly now is back to chasing Bentley my other younger cat who is also covered by Healthy Paws. He is soo happy to be alive and so am I. Thank you again Healthy Paws!

New Years day "Jax" was lethargic and just not himself, we took him in to emergency where he stayed overnight where he was given an IV and the tests began. This was especially hard for us as we lost our little "Missy" last summer due to Kidney disease she was born with and the symptoms were similar. The next day we brought Jax home ( first bill $1,100) but after a day he didn't seem to be getting any better. Over the next 3 days they ran several tests trying to find out what was going on with our little guy, test after test came back negative, we were getting very worried. We got a call late on the 3rd day saying he was doing better, eating and lovable. However they still hadn't been able to pin point what was going on, 2 more tests were not back yet but they felt like he would be better at home. 2 days later the pancreatitis and cancer tests came back negative. although that was still a little frustrating Jax was home with us and doing well. Invoice just over $4,000. Healthy Paws had already paid the first invoice in a matter of days. I was honestly worried about sending the new one to them, this was a my first time using the coverage and I guess I felt like it was "too good to be true". Well I will tell you it was simple and fast and they completed the claim again, within days! Then today I get an email from them asking how Jax was doing.....WOW!!!! I am SOOO IMPRESSED with Healthy Paws and have been telling everyone I know that has a pet.. if you are looking for complete coverage for your pet, look no further! We all love our pets, don't let the fear of vet costs prevent you from caring for your "little guy" Claim process was as simple as taking a picture of the invoice, they do the rest so you can focus on getting your pet home and back to normal! I have had pet insurance on my cat, Sammy, since he was about 4 or 5 months old. I'm lucky I have had it, too, because he has had a ton of health issues I never would have expected from a mix breed shelter cat. He got the bad end of the genetic jackpot. He's got an auto-immunce digestive issue, that he needs constant medication for, he's had a tumor removed from his skin (at 1 year old), and he's now had a double femoral head osteotomy due to factures in the heads of both femurs. That last one I never could have afforded if I didn't have insurance to cover 80%. I've never had any issues filing a claim, and they've always been great about living up to their side fo the deal, and processing the claim quickly and efficiently. Only one time was there a hold up, and I was able to call in and get it resolved ASAP, with a nice customer service rep. I've been very pleased.

Healthy Paws has been of great benefit to us and our pup, a now 9 year-old Chocolate Lab Mix. In the past 14 months, our dog has had to undergo TPLO surgeries to deal with ligament tears in both of her back legs, and Healthy Paws helpfully covered 80% of the cost of both the surgeries. They have always been helpful and responsive in covering any unexpected health issue that has arisen with our dog. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
