HealthyPaws Saved My Pup, and Saved Us Over $14K

My pup Bowie broke his femur back in March and since then has had six surgeries, three ear infections, and countless hospital stays, amounting to well over $20,000 in medical expenses—with more to come! Thanks to HealthyPaws, we have saved a total of $14,321.87. There is no way we could have provided our fur baby with the care he needs without the wonderful humans at HealthyPaws. Not only have they provided the financial assistance necessary, but they are kind and compassionate and continuously send e-mails checking in on our little guy. Since Bowie's injury, I have become a HUGE advocate for pet insurance and tell everyone who will listen about HealthyPaws Pet Insurance. 15/10 would recommend.

Super easy to file claim, no bs, the money was in my account before the credit card bill even got here!

Couldn't believe I got reimbursed for every last dime (less the exam fee and my deductible) of the emergency vet bill for my cat's urinary blockage and 5 day hospital stay with no hassles, no games, no b.s. The money was in my account less than 2 weeks after I filed the initial claim. Now, how much my premium may go up next year, who knows? But I could not be any more satisfied than I am right now and would recommend Healthy Paws to anyone! The only things they don't cover is pre-existing conditions, routine and preventative vet care and vaccinations.

If only human insurance could be so easy!

This company is wonderful. You take a photo of your vet bill, send it using the healthy paws phone app, and they reimburse you a few days later. They cover what they say they will cover, no questions asked. It allows you to take your pet to the hospital when they need it without having to worry how on earth you'll be able to pay the bills afterwards. Just two weeks ago our extra small mini dachshund, who'd been kind of lethargic for a few days and not eating or drinking, started throwing up copious amounts of blood. A quick/frantic google search hinted to me that it might be Hemorrhagic Gastroententiritis, and not wanting to take any risks, I bundled her up into the car with the kids and brought her straight to the hospital. I'd read that in small breeds in particular this kind of illness could have serious repercussions if not dealt with right away. The doctor confirmed it was GH and said we'd been smart to go directly to the hospital. They put her on an IV and medication and kept her overnight. Late the next day we brought her back home and a few days later, she was back to normal. Healthy Paws covered it all and even sent me a personal email asking me how she was doing. (The idea that Blue Cross Blue Shield would want to find out how I was doing after processing one of my medical claims is comical....in a sad, sad sort of way.) Anyway: get this insurance. They're affordable and they honor the terms of your contract. And they're super nice.
