Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

When our beloved Jalapeño was diagnosed with a torn cruciats ligament, we were so grateful to have chosen pet insurance for her previously. Having a friend that recently went through the same diagnosis and procedure with their dog, without the benefit of health insurance, we knew we were incredibly lucky to have Healthy Paws backing us, and boy were we right! They were incredibly fast reviewing our claim and getting us reimbursement, and even offered to work directly with our vet if needed, as we were concerned about putting such a high amount on a credit card. Within 1.5 weeks, we had our reimbursement directly deposited back in our account, and even had contact from Healthy Paws simply to check in and see how Jalapeño was doing. We could survive without the insurance reimbursement, but having it makes everything so much less stressful and easy to deal with. We recommend this company to any and all of our friends and family, and as a dog trainer, I recommend them to clients as well. Thank you Healthy Paws!

We have had Healthy Paws for a couple of years now and we have had to use them quite a bit. We have had a couple small claims and 4 very big claims. We have had 4 major knee surgeries and had no problem getting the claims paid. Then after the surgeries they sent emails to check on our girls. I love this company and have had referred many people to them. You can't beat their prices or the ease of getting claims paid!

My GSD is recovering from emergency surgery to save his life from his stomach flipping 180 due to bloat/GVD. The emergency vet clinic quoted $5K-$9K for the surgery with no guarantee of the outcome. I was able to say "just do it ASAP" and I knew Healthy Paws would cover most of the cost. Having Healthy Paws insurance removed having to make a painful decision based on finances to save my dog's life. I submitted the claim to Healthy Paws on-line, and a check for ~87% of the cost (minus $250 annual deductible and exam fee) is on its way to me. I STRONGLY recommend Healthy Paws to any dog owner - even unexpected non life threating treatments can cost $100s or $1000s . I decided on Healthy Paws versus other insurances because they are not "schedule" based (which only cover certain treatments for fixed amounts) and have an annual deductible, not a per-incident deductible. They have been prompt and efficient in processing claims, even inquiring how he is doing. So Mikey is doing great, back to normal, and is scheduled to get the 21 staples out of his belly today (ouch!).

Our puppy needed emergency stomach surgery, and it was expensive. Healthy Paws quickly processed our claim, and Toby is making a full recovery. I am now a strong advocate for pet insurance, and Healthy Paws has been excellent.
