Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Isabelle, my Golden Retriever is 6 years old. She attends daycare 4 days a week, goes to work with me one day a week, swims at an indoor dog pool year-round, and is a certified therapy companion. We visit hospitals, schools, and assisted living facilities. She pretty much goes everywhere with me. Christmas day we visited my daughter and Isabelle was running with her dog having a great time. I then heard a yelp, and she was limping badly. Spent Christmas day in the emergency with her. Turns out she was modifying her run (I think) to adapt to my daughters’ much smaller dog, and tore her ACL. This required expensive surgery and subsequent rehab work. I submitted the bill, it was quickly paid minus my deductible. These guys are awesome! One unexpected accident can cost thousands. This insurance is so worth the cost. Years ago, I had insurance with another company but got tired of all the paperwork to be filled out, only to be told denied. I have recommended Healthy Paws to everyone I know. My daughter’s dog is also insured by them. The claim process is simple. I actually take a pic and send the bill while I am at the vet’s office. The people are wonderful and what is really nice, you don’t feel like you are dealing with an insurance company trying to find a loophole to not pay. I will never go uninsured with my dog, nor should you. But the insurance is only as good as the people. That’s why it is only Healthy Paws for me! Thanks, guys! I wish my coverage was this good!

Healthy Paws is the best insurance. We insured our puppy because she was a rescue and I wasn't sure if she came with any health problems. Luckily, she didn't, but she had a freak tendon injury that resulted in an unexpected surgery. Healthy Paws covered 80% of everything, and even sent us an email to follow up to see how she was doing. It is super easy to submit claims, and the turnaround time for reimbursement is very short. I've never had to haggle with them; and everything that they said was covered has been covered exactly as explained. I was on the fence about pet insurance, but Healthy Paws is truly a fantastic company and a great pet insurance policy.

Healthy Paws has been a fantastic insurance company. The claims submission process is super easy (you just submit a picture of the invoice) and the turnaround time for payment is very reasonable. We had unexpected surgery for our dog, and Healthy Paws not only covered everything as promised, but followed up with a personal email to see how our dog was doing. The coverage, ease of doing business, quick turnaround time and personal touch make Healthy Paws the "paws down" best choice for pet insurance.

Healthy Paws has gained a customer for life from me, with my current pet and any other pet I may have in the future. I cannot thank them and recommend them enough for the amazing service they are running. Last year has been a bit rough for my Maltese, from neutering to bilateral hernias, but the ease and speed in which Healthy Paws handle claims made it invaluably easier. Now I make sure to tell everyone who has a pet or is considering to adopt a pet to get Healthy Paws.

We would be LOST without Healthy Paws. Our puppy was fine until we went to have her spayed and her blood came back with irregularities and many more tests needed to be done. I was a mess! Not only did Healthy Paws help me understand my coverage, the claim submission was effortless and the checks came within a week of my claims and I had several totaling more than $3000 worth of vet bills. They checked in on Riley and asked me how she was. They asked me how I was. In a million years I could not imagine an insurance company offering so much assistance and demonstrating so much care and compassion for my “fur baby,” they called her. And she is just like a child to me. I would emphatically recommend them to anyone. Especially for new puppies... you truly have no idea what can come up and you need coverage. If we had to pay for all of her tests, procedures and biopsies out of pocket, we may have been forced to make a diffficult decision. We didn’t have to thank goodness because Healthy Paws coverage helped us with everything. I’m very grateful to the staff that had patience for all my questions and just listened when I cried about being scared for my puppy. Can’t say enough about Healthy Paws. Compassionate, professional and very easy to work with. 10 stars if I could!!
