Awesome insurance that responded quickly!

After adopting my 10 month old rescue 2 years ago, I selected Healthy Paws as her insurance. You never know what issues will drop up with rescues. Money well spent! Unbeknownst to me, my girl started consuming parts of toys, blankets, etc., while we were moving cross country. Recent surgery removed nearly two pounds of material! No outward signs of stress, perfect passenger in the car, my 55 pound girl seemed fine outwardly. Now she's back in her kennel when I can't directly supervise. Health Paws paid my claim quickly and sympathetically! Thank you!!

Healthy Paws has been wonderful!

Healthy Paws has been awesome! When we decided to get an English bulldog we knew we’d need the best insurance possible since they’re prone to many ailments. Unfortunately our pup has experienced a few incidents already and Healthy Paws has covered all of them! They are speedy with their responses to our questions as well as reimbursement. Getting this insurance policy was the best idea we’ve made for our dog! They also reached out after Spanky had surgery to check in on him. Would recommend to anyone!

Slow claim reimbursement

I gave been with healthy paws for over 6 years and have 8 rescue dogs insured with them. In the past 2 years their customer service has gotten awful. Plan on being on hold for at least 45 min to an hour and a half for someone to answer your call. Expected to wait almost a month to be reimbursed for your claim. I will never get insurance with them again.

Healthy Paws if the Best

The polar opposite of health insurance for humans. Healthy Paws quickly processes and reimburses claims. Highly recommend them.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
