Their policy contradicts itself purposely to deny coverage. The policy does not give proper specification and leave an open blanket to deny coverage. I feel stupid in trusting a website called https://www.consumersadvocate.org where they were rated # 1, to later learn that consumers are not allowed to write reviews on this website, so who is really advocating their reviews? e.g. policy states that they exclude "Dental Health Care. The regular care required to maintain dental hygiene for your pet. This includes brushing, scaling, polishing, extractions and reconstructions." My dog literally had a hole in his face and had to be on antibiotics for weeks due to an infection caused by an abscess. This was considered to them as "regular care". I would want to see if a child had a hole in their face, if any parent would consider it as "regular care".

Having Healthy Paws Insurance has been a blessing. When we brought our new 2 month old puppies home, I knew that I had to make a smart decision about pet insurance. I received a lot of recommendations from the veterinarian on which companies to use but I did my own research to find the best fit for our family. Once I decided on Healthy Paws, I never expected that i would have to file a claim a couple of months later for my puppy’s emergency surgery. The claim process was so easy and painless. Once the claim was settled, the customer service did not stop after the check was received. We were surprised and grateful to receive an email from the Healthy Paws customer service checking in on the status of our puppy and his progress. It was so unexpected that an insurance company would check up on the health and well being of our new puppy after the surgery. We were treated like a member of their family and we appreciate the kind words. I’m so grateful for Healthy Paws and I know that if I need to use them again, the process will be stress free and quick. I have recommended Healthy Paws to many friends already.

It was easy to file my claim when my lab needed ACL surgery. They were quick to process everything which took the burden off of us so we could focus on caring for our pup. The best gift you can ask for is peace of mind knowing you are protected in the worst case scenario. Thank you Healthy Paws!

After losing my cat, Jo, 8 years ago (and after paying $4k that I didn’t have but couldn’t resist paying), I obsessively researched pet insurance before adopting another rescue. Hands down, Healthy Paws was #1 based on my personal research. And the company has been true to its word. They don’t pay out on schedules, leaving you with coverage caps. They pay 70/80/90% of what the veterinarian charges depending on the plan you choose. I went for 90% with higher premium and only $100/year deductible. Early in her life, my little girl, Christmas, became critically ill with an autoimmune condition requiring bone marrow testing/surgery. Health Paws paid 90% of all charges. And they have continued to do so with other conditions that she has developed- surely over $10,000 by now. I don’t make a lot of money and I would not have been able to treat her without Healthy Paws. And it’s an easy, no-hassle-process. Just upload a screenshot or photo of bill (sometimes drs notes) and it gets processed in under a week. Continues to feel too good to be true. This has allowed Christmas to live and thrive for 7 years and most likely at least 7 more. She’s my little love so I wanted to share my thanks and recommendation.

We had a great experience with Healthy Paws. One morning our cat Harry wasn't moving. He hadn't been eating or drinking for a couple of days. That started a process of contacting our vet, taking Harry to the Emergency room, getting some treatment and tests, bad to the Vet, and into a multi-day stay in the Hospital, with Vet followups. During that time it appeared in initial tests he might have cancer, which scared us silly. It turned out not to be cancer, and Harry finally did get better. Needless to say though, before we knew it, the bills for the tests, vet stays, etc. skyrocketed and caused havoc with our budget. Healthy Paws was wonderful in working with us, and while everything wasn't covered a big chunk of it was. We are incredibly grateful.
