Healthy Paws Pet Insurance has your back
When my pup had emergency surgery to remove a large seed from his intestine, all we wanted to do was focus on helping him feel better. The last thing you want to do is deal with filing claims and worrying how much it's all going to cost. All I did was upload pictures of the vet bills onto my Healthy Paws app and within a week or two, I was reimbursed, no questions asked. Healthy Paws acts as the perfect middle man between you and your vet. I find their policy to be very clear cut on what qualifies for coverage and the explanation of benefits you receive is pretty straightforward. Not only did they take care of a big chunk of the bill, they also had someone from customer care reach out to me a few weeks later to check up on how Gambit was doing. Don’t bother looking anywhere else!
There honestly aren't words to describe this insurance company. I never thought I'd say that in my life, but I really mean it. We have 3 dogs insured by them, all who developed extremely expensive special needs after being rescued (blood disease, tumor, cataracts, diabetes, hypothyroidism, pancreatitis, chronic eye issues in all three, honestly, you name it...), and they're bills have easily surpassed $100k over the past 6 years, but any pet owner knows that they're basically children, and treating these issues wasn't an option for us. Rather than fighting tooth and nail over coverage, Healthy Paws called and emailed us along the way with genuine concern about how they are doing. They ask for pictures to post in their office. They sent us a tiny painting of our dog after we weren't sure if he was going to make it. No questions asked, their issues were covered time and time again. I would pay 5x what I am for the same service and coverage. Another company could hand me a gold bar, and I would stick with Healthy Paws. They genuinely care, and want your pets to continue being healthy members of your family, no matter what.
I have a sweet energetic english bulldog named Gustavo and as soon as we got him my good friend told me about Health Paws. They got it for their Frenchie and said it was much better than other pet insurance companies they had. I followed their advice and got Health Paws right away. Great service, caring people
We love Healthy Paws pet insurance because you can set your own rate by choosing your deductible and your copay! We have a Saint Bernard who seems to have a lot of issues, so we choose the 90% coverage, which is great for us because it covers his expensive tests and procedures. But on our other dog, who doesn't need as much medical care, we choose the 70% option to save on the premium. Works out great for us. The claims process is easy and they pay quickly.
$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.
Coverage
One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.
You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.
Deductible
You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750*
*Choice depends on age of the pet
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
