Healthy Paws Pet Insurance is Awesome

Healthy Paws has been nothing short of outstanding! The folks at Healthy Paws are caring and are concerned that they are providing the best insurance to cover our dog's Vet visits. Personal emails from them show the compassion the people at Healthy Paws have for our pet. The submission of claims couldn't be easier. Snap a picture of your invoice and attach it to an email to Healthy Paws. And...quick turn-around. The claims are processed in a very timely manner. This company is the best and should be considered when looking for insurance for your pets.

excellent coverage for pets with chronic health issues

We have Healthy Paws insurance coverage for our two Olde English Bulldogges. We began their Healthy Paws coverage on the day we purchased them from the breeders. Both have several typical health issues typical for bulldogs. The insurance coverage works exactly as described. Filing claims is a very simple process, and we are always reimbursed in a timely manner. I recommend Healthy Paws to anyone looking for quality pet insurance coverage.

They do NOT LISTEN .

Don't know what happened. Their service is not good any longer. Lady was very polite but not capable.

Terrible service!

I submitted a claim to Healthy Paws on August 13, 2019, for my pet. The email with the claim and required documentation bounced back to me three times before it was finally sent through. They acknowledged the receipt of my information on August 14. After another six days and still no communication from them, I sent another email asking about the status of the claim. On August 22, they replied to my email stating that they have finally assigned a claim number and were working on the claim. It has now been another seven days and still no work. I have just emailed them again hoping to hear from them. It should not take this long to process a claim, especially since they claim on their advertising that 99% of claims are processed in TWO days. Don't believe this false advertising!

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
