Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

We got pet insurance for our new dog hoping it would be something we would never need to deal with. We we did have to put our policy to use it could not have been easier to work with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for submitting claims and getting quick responses and reimbursement. Being able to snap pictures of the vet bills with my phone and upload them directly in their iPhone app was amazing and made me wish my own insurance worked this well. It made the whole process less stressful overall because we were able to get our pup taken care of and feeling better without putting us into financial distress.

We decided to get pet insurance a few months after adopting our 1-year old chihuahua mix dog when she had a GI issue from eating the wrong food and had to go to the vet emergency room. After that, we knew that if she ever had another accident we would want the financial protection and the peace of mind to make whatever the best decision was for her in the moment. We have now had insurance with Healthy Paws for two years and I am SO happy we got it. The monthly payments are affordable and the coverage is prompt and very easy to understand. Who knows if our dog is more accident prone than most, but we have absolutely saved money overall after filing claims when she sliced her paw open from a piece of glass last year and then accidentally fractured two teeth this year. For each claim, we just submit a screenshot of our vet's receipt on the app and hear back about reimbursement within a week. When we have had questions or requested to adjust the claim they have been so responsive. We are definitely with Healthy Paws for life!

My one dog has been through a lot. At one point he got really sick and we saw 8 vets by us who could not figure it out, but he was dying- his liver was starting to shut down. I went down the PennVet and was able to say, do whatever you can because we had the health insurance. They saved him! Found a rare infection under his armpit- who knew. Recently he had a mast cell tumor removed. We never had any trouble with claims, reimbursements came promptly. I don’t know where I would be without them!

I am so grateful and appreciative for Healthy paws insurance! I have never had pet insurance before but Healthy paws came highly recommend from a dog trainer so I signed up. The whole process was easy and fast. It was Christmas present to my pup. Little did I know I would really need the service 3 months later when my dog hurt herself.. Healthy paws has been supportive, available, and fast. I highly recommend Healthy paws pet insurance.

I have had Healthy Paws since my pug Brutus was only 4 months old, and boy am I glad I got it. My poor Brutus has had some health issues since he was about 2 and Healthy Paws has been a life savor..with medications, and vet visits, and even a few trips to Emergency Vet. It can be very overwhelming you want to do whatever you can to keep your fur baby healthy and get them the best care but it can be really costly. Knowing i have Healthy Paws to help me out with those costs means all the difference in the treatment he gets. I tell everyone I know to get pet insurance and do your research. I had a pug before this one and the insurance was not great. I often tell people i wish I could go on his plan its better than mine is! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a fur baby. I have the best plan but they do offer other more cost efficient plans for people.
