Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

My husband and I went back and forth about purchasing pet insurance after getting a golden retriever puppy. After extensive research, we decided to go with Healthy Paws and I could not be happier. My golden, Easton (@easton_the_golden), recently had abdominal obstruction surgery followed by pneumonia and spent three days at the emergency vet hospital. It is scary enough to go through this with your pet, let alone having to worry about being able to cover the cost. Healthy Pet made this process as painless as possible for us. Within 24 hours, someone at Healthy Pet contacted us to see how Easton was feeling and in 3 days of submitting our claim, we had a check in the mail to cover the costs. We are so thankful we had pet insurance, I have been making sure to tell all my friends how helpful it has been to have. My dog tore his ACL and the claim/reimbursement process was painless. I'm so glad I was able to recoup a significant portion of my expenses. And on top of it all, Healthy Pets made sure to check in and make sure my pet was doing OK post-surgery. It doesn't get any better than that! For any pet parents debating whether or not to sign up, please do. It may seem like you'll never need to use it, but you'd be surprised. And you want to feel secure knowing you don't have to worry so much about costs when your furbaby needs help.

They are amazing! I have had two claims with them already and they processed RIGHT AWAY and were sooo helpful and caring! My dog has had two surgeries the past year and they have honestly been so great I would not go anywhere else. I also got my reimbursement in the same week that I submitted the claim which I was extremely surprised and impressed with!

My cat had to have surgery and initially did not do well afterward, necessitating a follow-up visit, which under the present stay-at-home order was especially stressful. Most veterinarian paperwork was done electronically, and I was pleased to see that I could upload the vet statements as PDFs directly to Health Paws. I received my reimbursement in about 24 hours as a direct deposit, which was great peace of mind, especially since I myself had not been well. Even under trying circumstances, Health Paws came through for me and my kitty, and I am very grateful.
