A nightmare

I rescued a dog from DRSF and decided to insure him. This was the first time I had ever purchased pet insurance. They wanted medical records so I sent the records from the rescue. I had filed a claim but kept getting told they needed more info. 2 pages were missing. You would upload something else and this would take 7-10 days for them to again tell you it wasn't enough. You can't call the department that handles this. I really feel completely ripped off. Luckily this happened at the beginning. I finally got so fed up I cancelled the policy.

Great service, easy to summit claim, great customer service

I have been a customer of HealthyPaws for 5 years now. Unfortunately I have had to file a claim 4 times total over this time (I have 3 dogs covered). Always quick and easy to summit claim. Great customer service and I have always been pleased with the outcome of my claims.

We had a very positive experience with our very first claim in which our dog was hospitalized.

Less than 3 months after we adopted our dog, Saffron, she was emergently hospitalized for a hemorrhage. Thankfully, she survived and is doing well on prescription food. We were so grateful to have Healthy Paws pet insurance, which fully covered the related hospitalization expenses per our policy. We would have done anything to take care of Saffron, and Healthy Paws made it much easier for us to be able to do so.

Compassionate service for financial peace of mind

We were unsure if pet insurance would be worth the investment when we first adopted our puppy in January. HealthyPaws has since saved us ~$10k in vet bills for everything from MRSA to acute gastroenteritis. HealthyPaws has not only given us financial peace of mind to ensure our boy gets the best treatment necessary, but their incredible team has shown genuine compassion when our pup is battling to get better. Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
