Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Been a healthy paws customer since Jan 2012. Initial years with Healthy Paws was good...quick claims, relatively low hassle factor. Then started to get the annual price increases. After 3+ years of no claims, I get a notice today saying that Healthy Paws is raising my rates by 36%....from $66.75 to $90.78. I would understand an increase to compensate for inflation, etc. but 36%. Totally unreasonable. Healthy Paws response will be "vet care is expensive, you can always increase your deductible/reduce your coverage. I'd stay away....they don't recognize long term customers let alone customers who don't have any claims. I wanted to ask questions. Called three times. No one picked up. Got the message they have heavy call volume and would I like a return call. Left number on automatic system. Never got a call.

I’ve had a great experience using Healthy Paws. My dog had a large bladder stone that needed to be removed and submitting the claim to Healthy Paws was easy. They refunded me quickly and even followed up via email asking how she was doing which meant a lot to me. I definitely recommend this company to others.

It was such a relief to have Healthy Paws insurance when our dog recently had to have emergency surgery. Healthy Paws paid us accurately and on time. It is hard enough to have a pet go through something like this, and knowing that we have had insurance to help with expenses has made it much more bearable. I wish my personal health insurance was as easy as Healthy Paws!

Healthy Paws is the best. I tell everyone I know to get pet insurance. It’s seriously has saved us. Our dog has now had 3 major surgeries and 3 minor procedures (which had to be under anesthesia so it still expensive) in four years. We are a young couple and probably would have had to put our dog down if we didn’t have insurance. Healthy Paws has been so easy to work with. Filing a claim takes seconds and I get a check within two weeks max. I cannot day enough about them. You won’t regret going with them. Super caring and easy to work with.
