Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I am very happy I was recommended to Healthy Paws Pet Insurance from my supervisor at work. He said they are a godsend and after getting insured and then finally having to use the insurance, yes, I can see why Healthy Paws Pet Insurance is an angel in disguise. What happened: My 2 year old German Shepherd chipped her tooth while playing (it was totally mine fault how she chipped her tooth). I called up Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and they were VERY helpful, friendly, and understanding. I ended up getting a root canal for my baby girl and after filing the claim, which was SUPER easy, I received my payout and I honestly cannot believe how painless it was. Well, painless for me. I am sure my puppy (she will always be my baby puppy furever!) appreciated getting her tooth fixed. She had to wait about a month and a half before she had her surgery. Although she did not exhibit any discomfort, I was getting concerned if she felt any pain. Nonetheless, what a breathe of fresh air. No more stinky dog breath as she is able to brush her teeth again!! Healthy Paws Pet Insurance, we love you lots!

I have had a wonderful experience with Healthy Paws. My 1.5 year old Pomeranian mix has had severe gastrointestinal issues over the last several months. Luckily, we have had Healthy Paws since he was 3 months old. They covered all of the tests, blood work, and medications he needed during this time. It allowed us to access the care he needed that would otherwise be unaffordable. The only thing not covered is the exam fee. The turn around from when I submit a claim to receive a check in the mail is extremely expedient. I am very happy we chose Happy Paws!

As soon as I learned that our young Labradoodle needed surgery on both rear knees, and that the condition was probably genetically based, I called Healthy Paws to ask about coverage. Within seconds, I was assured that, once they could verify that I insured her prior to any signs of the condition, the costs would be reimbursable. The rep also suggested it would be easier for me to have the vet's office submit the claim. From that moment on, I can only wish that human insurance companies could be as easy to deal with. I was kept informed via email, and received a check within 10 days. I submitted my own claim for a follow-up visit for prescription meds and it was approved the next day. There is no question but that I'll continue her coverage for the foreseeable future.

Once again, Healthy Paws came through and quickly reimbursed 80% of the surgical costs and all of the exams medical care. We highly recommend Healthy Paws to any pet owner who wants the ability to provide needed medical care to his/her pet without worrying about the cost.

There were years when we paid more in insurance premiums then what we used but there were also years where they paid us way more then we paid. Healthy paws customer service is 5 star, they even checked with us how our dog was doing after surgery. Payments are quick and always hassle free. We did not try another insurance because we have a good experience with our current one.
