Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I am truly grateful for HealthyPaws. One of my dogs is a bit of an unlucky fellow. He had a lot of surgeries and other incidents requiring medical attention within the last 3 years. HealthyPaws was with us all the way. They always immediately start working on submitted claims and not once questioned any of the needed interventions or gave us a hard time. They were always there when we needed them. They even check in on the dog to see how he is doing. If there is one company I can truly recommend, it is HealthyPaws.

I have had Healthy Paws for four years now. I have never had to use it extensively until now. My dog had a cancerous tumor and recurring UTIs. Over the course of three months, she wracked up $2,000 in medical bills. This insurance has covered most of it. I think I ultimately paid $800 out of pocket in order to reach my deductible. Now that I have hit my deductible, I no longer worry about the cost of treatment. I can focus on getting her whatever care she needs. It is such a relief to have pet insurance at this time. I paid about $30/month for four years. Even if I had stashed all that money into savings, it would not have been able to cover my dog's medical expenses over the past three months. Plus, having insurance gives me peace of mind that I can give my dog whatever care she needs going forward. It has even changed the conversations I have with my vet around her care. Knowing I can spend the money for chemotherapy, drugs and surgeries means we can try treatments that give her a better chance of going into cancer remission. My claims are usually reviewed within a day, and refunds are issued within five days, but often sooner than that. I have never had an issue getting them to cover medical expenses. Filing a claim is easy. I just send them a picture of my bill through the mobile app. I honestly could not be happier with this insurance company. I did a lot of research before choosing a pet insurance. I know some companies are willing to take your money each month and then not cover procedures that they should. I am so happy I went with Healthy Paws. I tell all my friends with pets that pet insurance is a worthwhile investment.

Healthy Paws has been so wonderful. I will admit that for years I paid the premiums and didn't really use the insurance that much, but as my boy got older (he is almost 12) he developed health issues. Not only was it super easy to submit claims to Healthy Paws but the turn around is very fast. Thank Goodness, because if not I would have had to make the types of decisions no pet owner wants to make. It has been worth very penny I paid in premiums over the years.

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance review Healthypaws has been a lifesaver this past year for my 4 year old Golden Retriever. I noticed her on and off limping for a while, and eventually after seeing a few vets, learned she had a torn ACL. The surgery was estimated to cost $4,800, along with the costs of all of the pre-work and post therapy. Healthypaws was prompt at responding to each claim leading up to the surgery, which gave me confidence that the surgery bill was not going to be issue. My large claim was processed within 2 days of submitting, and I have since received personal follow up emails checking in on her recovery. The app made it incredibly easy to submit claims, as well-it took about 3 minutes. Through all of the stress of the surgery itself, it's been a huge relief to not have to worry about the potential debt the procedure could have put me in if it wasn't for Healthpaws. Our dog got really sick with pancreatitis during COVID-19 and we were a complete wreck. To top it off, we had lost most of our income. Murphy had to be in intensive care for almost a week, and we weren't sure how we were going to get through it financially. Fortunately, healthy paws was SO QUICK in responding and helping us out, and they processed our claim and we had reimbursement checks within a matter of a few days. I am so grateful we had healthy paws for this experience.
