Healthy Paws makes claims easy

Healthy Paws has been nothing but the best for me and my dog, Emmett. I sing their praises whenever someone asks me about pet insurance. In December of 2019, Emmett had to get multiple MRIs and x-rays done and was diagnosed with multiple bulging discs causing nerve issues. Healthy Paws covered all the diagnostics and his new medications with no complications — and completed the claim before Christmas . Then a week later due to side effects of prednisone (body thinks it's starving) he ate a rope toy for the first time in his life (he's 8 years old.) Healthy Paws covered the ER visit with no hassle.

Best for pets

They are speedy and kind and right to the point. They even ask how your fur baby is doing after something serious happens! Love them! You’ll thank yourself for getting it god forbid something happens to your pet!

Great Pet Insurance Provider

I have two dogs that are both 8 and have been insured since they were puppies through Healthy Paws. They are healthy dogs, but one needs a daily pill for a thyroid issue and the other receives allergy shots every 6-8 weeks. Healthy Paws makes the process easy and painless. They are prompt in reimbursing for expenses and I've never had an issue with a claim not being paid. One time a claim was initially denied and I inquired and immediately received a response and a reimbursement. I pay monthly and think the rate is fair. Very satisfied with Healthy Paws.

Kind, caring, compassionate!

Unfortunately, I have had some fur babies who experienced medical issues. Fortunately, we have Healthy Paws insurance! This company has been kind, caring, compassionate, and responsive to our needs. The claims process is very easy and streamlined. When one of our pups needed surgery, the claim was paid that day! I highly recommend Healthy Paws!

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
