Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

We have been insured by Healthy Paws for 2 years. We’ve got 2 cats and a dog and our experience has always been nothing short of 10 stars. Healthy paws make filing claims really easy, and the majority of the time claims are settled within a day or so. Their customer service team are easy to get a hold of (I’ve never waited more than a few minutes to speak with someone) and they genuinely care about the pets that they cover. We had a tragedy fall on us recently when our eldest cat Nelson was hit by a car. He ended up needing surgery for a shattered pelvis and a fractured foot, and suffered a couple of complications in the weeks following. Of all the worries that we had, one thing that we did not have to worry about was his coverage. Healthy Paws covered the majority of the bills and made the whole process as easy as possible. They even sent me a follow up email a few weeks later asking how he was doing. Thankfully, he’s making great steps in his recovery and should be back to full strength in the next few months. I'm writing this review hoping no one will ever need to use them for medical issues. But - I have a 4 years old French bulldog with Healthy Paws insurance since day 1. The 1 (and hopefully last time) I needed help from them, they were awesome !!! I took pics of the doctor documents, medical bills and the receipts. In less then a week I got very clear email with all the info I needed. How much I had out of pocket and how much I've been reimbursed. Healthy Paws covered about 80% of my expenses and in few days I got a check by mail. We all want to do everything we can to help our little nuggets and I'm so glad I had this company to help me with it. I'm full of hope that none of you will ever need to file claims and that your pet will stay healthy and protected !

Healthy Paws has provided great coverage for both of my dogs throughout their lives. I've been a customer since 2012 and have never had any issues with them. One of my dogs went through a period of seizures and the other has had early onset arthritis and a torn ACL. Healthy Paws has appropriately reimbursed every claim I've submitted with very little trouble. I highly recommend you insure your pet with them while its young so that you are covered for life and don't have to make hard decisions about health care. Knowing Healthy Paws was there to back me up has made a lot of decisions much easier to make and allowed me to give my dogs the best care!

First high dollar claim went as well I was hoping. Easy claim submission and fast approval. They needed additional info from my vet and requested and received the info directly from them. I didn't need to do anything. They covered exactly what I thought they would.

I have had Healthy Paws insurance since my golden was a few months old. Unfortunately, we have been struck with many medical situations from foreign bodies, GI illnesses, and UTIs. Having insurance with Healthy Paws has helped me give my golden the best possible care without worrying about whether or not I can afford it. I can just focus on taking care of my dog and getting her the best care that she needs because I know that Healthy Paws has my back not only through financial reimbursements but also through support. I recommend Healthy Paws to anyone who has a pet. I can recommend them confidently because I have spent a lot of money at the vet and many long hours at the emergency vet. They are the best decision I have made for my pet!!
