Smooth sailing to get compensated for a year of multiple dog surgeries

After two surprise CCL surgeries for my young American Staffordshire Terrier this year, I could not be more happy with HealthyPaws as an insurer -- leaving me asking why my pet's health insurance process is easier and better than my human health insurance processes?! No fuss, no mess. HealthyPaws makes submitting a claim and receiving compensation for it easy. I'd love to be able to provide some additional context via the app's invoice submissions, but they are always responsive to follow-up via email once the submission is made, so it isn't a big deal.

Would not recommend.

They have been ok about payouts. But as my pet has aged, the monthly premiums have become totally unaffordable (and he's not even that old yet). I kept the policy for years as a sort of investment as my dog got older, but was just throwing money away. I would have been much better off putting it into a savings account every month. Re: their reply, I had already discussed my premium with them at length and they had nothing meaningful to say.

Pay every month then when it comes time to pay a claim you ended up wasting your money.

Paid $45.00 a month for five years $2700 put in a claim for $147.00 deductible was already paid did not cover the Doctor's exam $65.70 leaves a balance of $81.30 then they paid 80% of that $65.00. They should have paid for the Doctor's exam otherwise how do they know what the problem is.

We are extremely happy with Healthy Paws

We have two French bulldogs and we have used Healthy Paws many times over the last couple years. Most recently our one French bulldog had emergency surgery to repair a ruptured disc in her back. It was an extremely expensive surgery healthy paws covered everything they said they would and we received a check within one week. We had a similar incident with our other French bulldog she needed an expensive cardiac procedure healthy paws again covered it within one week. These two procedures would have been an extreme burden on our family without the help of Healthy Paws.

2.5 year bernedoodle with cancer – our experience with healthypaws

When we brought our dog home 2.5 years ago, I wasn't convinced we needed pet insurance. It didn't cover preventative care and for the first 2 years, we didn't even meet our deductible. But then, year 3 hit, and over the course of 2 months we received progressively worse diagnoses after our bernedoodle began experiencing a limp. Over the course of 2 months, we went through imaging, bone biopsies, genetic testing, a rear leg amputation, and started chemo. We're over $18k into the journey to try to get another 2-4 years with our pup, and I couldn't be more grateful that we invested in Healthy Paws from the beginning, so that we didn't have to question any decisions we needed to make now, when it came to her health. The company is quick to approve claims, easy to work with as we navigate what options are available to us, and provide a simple, slick interface to do it all. We'll forever use HealthyPaws, for this dog and beyond.
