The best coverage/Great company to work with!

Our 4 yr old Golden Retriever, Laika, had a walnut-sized lump removed from her chest on Jan. 30th, that I was worried about . . . it had been aspirated earlier, and tests showed that it was okay. But, I just didn't feel good about leaving it there. I pushed for surgery to remove it - it showed that the lump was malignant Subcutaneous Hemangiosarcoma. I thank God that it was removed before it spread to her organs - once it reaches their organs, there is no hope! Healthy Paws was right there with us -covered all of the surgery, meds, etc. One month later, we went to the oncologist to have xrays and an abdominal ultrasound - once again, Healthy Paws covered these tests, which were clear! We'll need to stay vigilant in checking on this horrible form of cancer via regular testing for Laika, and we are so very grateful that Healthy Paws is with us. We would be lost without the insurance coverage we purchased from them, and their support! Thank you Healthy Paws!

We are so grateful for Healthy Paws!

We recently found out our 8 yr old dog has cancer. The best option to alleviate her pain and extend her life was to amputate her front leg. This was such a tough decision for us, but we are SO GRATEFUL that we didn't have to base the decision off of finances. Healthy Paws covered 80% of the surgery, medication and all associated appointments. Their associates checked up on our dog multiple times and even though the surgery was only 2 weeks ago, we have already received all of the checks! We were never expecting to get this tough news, but having Healthy Paws made it that much easier to deal with what we were going through. Thank you to all of the Healthy Paws staff who helped us during this time. Even our surgeon told us that Healthy Paws was the best pet insurance their office works with! We are happy to report that our dog has made a quick recovery from surgery and is back to her happy self!

Best Pet insurance

We adopted a cat from the spca who unfortunately has a very bad case of pica (eating foreign objects). As a result he had had multiple bowel obstructions, surgeries and hospitalizations, despite our best efforts to keep everything away from home. Healthy paws has been prompt and responsive with our insurance claims every time! We could not continue to care for our beloved cat if it weren’t for their insurance.

Easy and Straightforward pet insurance

We got Healthy Paws insurance right away when adopting our first cat almost 2 years ago. The site/app is great. It was easy to sign up and submit our first documents. And it has continued to be easy to submit any claims. They respond quickly and thoroughly. I appreciate the clear explanation of benefits so I can understand what is covered and how different costs applied to our deductible.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
