Our Bree had a torn ACL along with a torn cartilage. We were devastated for her and for us as we knew this would challenge her physically and us financially. As a puppy, we got Healthy Paws Insurance for her not knowing if we would ever have to use it.

I was referred to Healthy Paws by a friend, he had such great experiences with the coverage and ease of claims. I wasn't sure if I would need pet insurance when I adopted my Z, but I'm SO glad I did. She is a great dog, but she likes to chase bunnies, and injured her doggie "ACL" running a few weeks ago. I was told how expensive the surgery was, and I don't know what i would have done without Healthy Paws covering much of the costs. I was nervous about submitting claims, but they were processed very fast and I had my reimbursement in a week. I use the Healthy Paws app and just upload the invoice from the veterinarian, so so easy. My Z is recovering well and I am so glad this experience went so well!

Best consumer service
Healthy Paws was recommended to me by my adult children who own dogs. My 3 year old rescue needed diagnostic procedures to rule out serious disease. Healthy Paws consumer service was simply the best throughout the process. I really like the ease of submitting claims through their phone app. They deserve a rating of 10/10 in all areas.

Healthy Paws Simply Is The Best!
We have had Healthy Paws insurance for over 5 years now. We have had two cats and one dog (a Golden Retriever) insured. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this insurance company. We have had several MAJOR claims for our animals, and Healthy Paws has covered all of them with no questions asked.
One of our cats was diagnosed with heart failure. She had numerous trips to the ER, long stays in specialty hospitals, and was on several very expensive medications. Her claims totaled over $10k, and Healthy Paws covered all of it (up to 80% per our policy). Having this insurance, and having the peace of mind to give her the care she needed, was amazing. Our dog, a Golden Retriever, tore both of his ACLs within the course of a year. Each surgery cost over $5k, and again, Healthy Paws covered both surgeries with no problem (80%, per our policy). There is no question that this insurance is WORTH IT. We don't have to worry if our pets have major issues; we know we will be able to provide them the care they need because of Healthy Paws.
I also cannot say enough good things about their customer service. They are so responsive, so professional, and so caring. The claims process is very easy. You simply send a snap shot of your invoice, and within days, Healthy Paws deposits the money directly into your bank account. They send multiple emails updating you on the status of any claims, and they even send emails at the end asking how your pet is recovering. We have never had a problem with them approving claims.
They are amazing.
If you're debating about pet insurance, or wondering if it's cost-effective or "worth it" , I cannot attest that it is. It is worth it.

Coverage
One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.
You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.
Deductible
You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750*
*Choice depends on age of the pet
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
