Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I love Healthy Paws! I was reluctant to get pet insurance for my puppy, Oliver, but I'm so glad that I did. My deductible was $250, so I was skeptical that I would actually need insurance, but unfortunately I've already needed to use it twice! Luckily, submitting claims on Healthy Paws is super easy and there is an incredibly quick turnaround of processing claims. Once I found out that my last emergency vet visit (puppies eat EVERYTHING) was covered, I cried out of relief! Even when the claim was reimbursed (within a week via mail, but they also have direct deposit which I did enroll in moving forward), their customer service team reached out to follow up and make sure Oliver is still doing okay! During these crazy times, I'm so grateful to know that I can rely on our puppy insurance for peace of mind and keeping Oliver safe and healthy! Thank you, Healthy Paws! 10/10 recommend.

We opted for pet insurance with our new dog and after some research decided on Healthy Paws. We couldn’t be more happy. Our pup recently had to have a CT and Rhinoscopy through a specialist. Healthy Paws provided quick reimbursement for the procedure and all of his tests prior to the procedure.

I like the ease-of-use of their website - submitting a claim is a breeze. As long as you have the medical records from your vet and an itemized bill, the process couldn't be simpler. All my communications with them have been pleasant and efficient. Their premiums are fair and their coverage is excellent. When my 9-year-old Boston Terrier recently had to have emergency surgery, followed by a long in-hospital recovery and extended treatment, his bills quickly soared over $10,000. Healthy Paws processed my claims quickly and I received reimbursement for 80% of everything once the deductible was met, and I received direct deposits before my credit card bill even came due. So an event that could have completely wiped out our emergency fund (and then some!) wound up only making a fair dent in it instead. It was a big relief to be able to tell the doctors to do whatever was necessary, instead of having to make a terrible decision to give up because we couldn't afford it. This coverage saved his life. Our boy is home now and is doing great! I highly recommend signing up your pet as early as possible since preexisting conditions are, understandably, not covered. Our other two dogs were much younger when we signed up with Healthy Paws and so both qualified for lower deductibles and 90% reimbursement. Don't wait! Sign up ASAP!
