Healthy Paws is the best insurance company I have ever dealt with!!
We have a Bernese Mountain Dog that developed irritable bowel disease and extremely elevated liver enzymes about a year and a half ago. Since that time, we have spent approximately $1,000 a month for blood work and meds. Healthy Paws has been wonderful to work with. We have never had to hassle with them over any bill and have been reimbursed the agreed 80 percent shortly after we submit each bill. Reimbursement is made easy with Healthy Paw's app which allows you to take a picture of any bill and automatically submits it to the company.

Healthy Paws Helps
Healthy Paws has more than paid for itself over the last few years as we have struggled with having two dogs requiring expensive surgery or treatment. They have been compassionate and have provided reimbursements quickly and accurately. We are so grateful to be able to give our dogs the best care and treatment options with the help of Healthy Paws!

Looking for the best insurance to cover your pet? Choose Healthy Paws!
Being retired and getting a rescue dog made us immediately consider purchasing pet insurance. We really can't afford a big unexpected vet bill, so after reviewing a bunch of pet insurance companies we purchased Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and we were glad we did. If comparable premiums, generous reimbursement, ease of filing, rapid turn around time on your claims and great customer service is what you are looking for then you should too. My dog came down with a very complex kidney disease and Healthy Paws was there every step of the way processing my claims quickly and never once questioning the integrity of my requests. They know a person's pet is like family and they take that relationship seriously. I've convinced my nephew to use them and I hope you will to. You won't regret it.

Disappointed - Premium Increase just 1 year in (not used it even once)
I chose Healthy Paws for their manageable premiums and mostly online people did not report premium increases. It is only after you receive a nice "your premium has been increased" you realize they find that there's a fineprint allowing them to do just that. Disappointed as I didn't get to enjoy the coverage even once and here I am paying more!
Monthly Cost
$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.
Coverage
One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.
You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.
Deductible
You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750*
*Choice depends on age of the pet
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
