Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

I was with another pet insurance company a few years ago with our last dog (who has now past on and had a very expensive and difficult passing). The coverage and company back then were terrible and I ended up not keeping it for more than a few months. Nothing was covered, submissions always seemed to be either too expensive or it was pre-existing, breed specific, etc. Anything to not have to pay me. Embrace has been amazing so far. I just got paid my first Wellness claim and it was fast and easy. I feel confident that I will not have to "go it alone" should my precious puppy need anything going forward. It's worth every penny I pay in premiums, even if it's just to avoid the hassle of other companies. Love Love Love Embrace!

We have received two checks from Embrace - each for immunizations. Luckily, we have had no illnesses or emergencies since enrolling our almost 2 year old Chinese Crested, Grace. My only concern addresses the exclusion that we were given when we made the decision to have an orthopedic exam done so that Grace could be covered immediately for any type of issue that she might develop. She had shown no orthopedic issues nor were we concerned. Our vet gave her a 1 point below perfect rating stating that she had luxating patellas. She said that she doubted we were ever have a problem with this, but being totally honest and thorough, she felt that was the most correct rating. We were disappointed to receive a letter stating that Grace would not be covered for any orthopedic problems in the future due to this rating. I appealed this decision stating that had we NOT had her tested and had waited for the time period with no problems she would be covered. My appeal was denied. I am not sure we will remain with Embrace after this year. The insurance is expensive if future major issues will not be covered.

Having a puppy requires a lot of vet visits and a lot of costs. So far I have been to the e-vet twice with my FiBi and have also had to deal with a nasty ear infection that required several visits to my regular vet before it cleared up. And FiBi isn’t even a year old yet. Without Embrace I would have had to absorb over $4,000 in vet bills this year alone. The Embrace staff is amazing and their customer service is top notch. They are so helpful and they truly care about their customers. I would recommend them to anyone. Their turnaround time on claims is really quick and they even have direct deposit. They will email you and update you thru the entire process and will follow up after the fact to check and see that you claim was settled and also to see how your animal is doing health wise. I will never have another pet that is not covered by insurance again and will ALWAYS use Embrace as my insurance provider. Thank you Embrace for being awesome.

I have had Embrace for my Llhasapoo Max for 3 years. I have used the Wellness coverage each year. It is amazing that I can recoup the money spent on shots, yearly exam,etc. The responses and refunds are prompt and courteous.

Very good on reimbursements and follow-ups, once submitted. They did lose some paperwork I had mailed, but when I re-submitted via email, it was quickly processed. So always keep copies if you mail in claims!But they are very nice and helpful and I find service quick! Had 3 claims to submit.
