Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

Our young Newfie had to have her ACL repaired recently. Embrace covered almost all the bills associated with the procedure from early diagnoses and conservative treatment right up to Orthopedic second opinion and subsequent surgery.When filing claims Embrace staff reached out to the facilities to obtain the necessary information that I was lacking and ensured the claims were paid in a very timely manner usually with in 3 weeks. They were excellent during this very trying time.

Even thou you receive an email stating "Thank you for renewing your pet insurance policy number xxx and for being a policyholder since xxx" and withing the same email "Your renewal policy is effective on xxx through xxx/2015 11:59 PM ET". Mean your NOT really renewed at all !!! They sort of put the cart before the horse in emails it seems for reason I still can not explain.

Our girl has been under treatment for melanoma. Her surgery, biopsies, and lab work - all reimbursed within 3 days. She's now being treated with the melanoma vaccine gene therapy for the cancer; Embrace processed the claim and reimbursed us within 3 days. Getting the reimbursement direct deposit has been a great help to us, as well as the fact that they reimburse on a percentage of actual charges instead of a "reasonable and customary" fee schedule, like almost every human insurance company does nowadays... We've been insured with Embrace since 2009 and recommend them highly to anyone looking for health coverage for their furchildren.

When our Bernese Mountain Dog, India, was nine months old she was diagnosed with elbow displaysia. Although we understand dogs of her breed often suffer from hip dysplasia later in life, we were completely surprised by the elbow diagnosis, which can be more difficult to treat. Thankfully, we had already signed on with Embrace. We originally chose Embrace because of its comprehensive care and willingness to support alternative therapies; the health & wellness of our family pets is very important to us. At four years of age, India has had three surgeries on her elbows and shoulders, rehabilitation, and stem cell therapy. Embrace has helped us with all of her care! We are extremely grateful! Hopefully, India has many years ahead and we will be able to continue to keep her joints as strong as possible. India also serves as the unofficial mascot of a local elementary school - many kids and adults depend on her happy presence and Berner love each day. Response time was reasonable and we were satisfied with the result. The covered portion was applied to the deductible as we expected.
