Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

My dog developed difficulty breathing. He required examinations by two vets, procedures, and a CT scan.All I had to do was have the vets fax over a claim form with the details of the care. The response from Embrace was quick and fair. No red tape. No preapproval needed. They promptly covered the claims in full less the 20% copay. They are also a pleasure to deal with on the phone.

When we got our brand new boxer puppy 5 years ago, we made the decision to maintain pet insurance so we would never have to make health decisions for our dog based on expense. We figured, we have health insurance for ourselves and our kids and she's part of the family now. Let me just say it's been the best investment we ever made! Over the 5 years we have been fortunate to only have one small illness visit with her at the vet. HOWEVER, the wellness allowance which basically pays for 100% of her yearly exam, tests, vaccinations and medications is PRICELESS!! It help to keep her healthy all year long which is the ultimate goal! Embrace has paid every claim quickly and without issue for 5 years. Their online portal is super easy to use and efficiently processes claims. My advice if you are considering it, is JUST DO IT!!

I had never had pet insurance before, but was encouraged to get insurance by the trainers in my dog training class when my dog was still a puppy. He is a German Shepherd and the breed has a tendency for hip displaysia, so the trainers said it was good to get him covered just in case he got it years down the road. I researched different companies and suggestions and went with Embrace never knowing that my dog would soon end up with some serious health issues. Embrace has yet to turn down a claim including my latest for over $3000. I can't say how much of a load it takes off of your decision when deciding on treatment options for your pet since it (mostly) takes the cost out of the equation. I've told all my pet friends to use Embrace (I should be an Embrace Ambassador!), and just put both my cats on my plan as well.

Embrace Insurance has been very professional and quick to respond to claims that I have submitted. I called once and the representative was very helpful and thorough. The experience thus far has been a very positive one.

Very easy to understand policy - no nasty surprises. Very good customer service, good and helpful communication, quick reimbursement...and OHMYGOODNESS...no fee schedule! That was a HUGE problem for me because I live in New York State and everything costs more here.
