Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

We are very pleased with the prompt service rendered by Embrace. Our dog Rocco suffers from diabetes, we have had multiple claims submitted to Embrace for reimbursement. Our claims have been paid in a very timely manner. I have no complaints about the way our claims have been handled by Embrace. I can truly say that Embrace staff in all areas (i.e. customer service) have handled our claims in a very expedient manner.

I've always been pleased with Embrace's customer service, prompt payment, and ease of access.

This was my first claim. After filing, I received an ambiguous e-mail saying "one or more" of the veterinarians who had treated my dog had failed to provide information pertaining to one or more of his visits. Total lack of specifics. I had to guess what was missing. I sent them an e-mail explaining that he was a rescue, and that I had previously given them everything I had on him, and would they please let me know what else they needed. They failed to respond. Instead, they CLOSED my claim for lack of information. I got it re-opened. I sent them his "kennel card" from the shelter. They told me that should be sufficient. Again, they CLOSED the claim, rather than following up with me. Spent a total of over an hour on the phone trying to get this resolved. Finally did. The problem? "Customer Service" is attempting to handle claims-related questions. It seems that they are screening the calls, rather than sending ALL claims-related questions to the CLAIMS department. Once I finally got to speak to the claims department, things started going more smoothly.

Our dog started vomiting and having blood in her poop. We had several trips to the vet and some over night stays. We were eventually sent to specialist. There were so many test done and changes in foods. It was a very stressful time. It started early February and lasted into March. It turned out to be Inflammatory bowel disease. Owning a Lab, we got the insurance because we figured she would eat something or get bad hips, never did we expect this at 2 1/2 years old! Embrace was so easy to deal with. We were able to get pre certified for the visit at the Animal Specialist which was costly and that made getting the money back easy quick. Everyone was so helpful and nice. We have the wellness plan as well, and it looks like we will use every bit of it each year with this new condition...and to think we thought about canceling the insurance this year! Thank Goodness we didn't! Peter is awesome!!

Earlier this year my 8 year old 'middle' dog, a mixed breed from the local shelter, was diagnosed with cancer (lymphoma). Much heartbreak behind those words, and no way of knowing just how much time he has left -- but he's alive today and enjoying great quality of life thanks to an excellent team of veterinary oncologists, and of course thanks to Embrace. Advanced treatment (surgery and chemotherapy) would have been out of the question without Embrace Insurance. They've been there for us every step of the way: prompt, efficient, and understanding. Because of Embrace, my dog is enjoying life, and I'm so grateful that he's had more time to relish treats, zoomies, and big barks at passers-by. I recommend Embrace Insurance to everyone.
