Embrace Pet Insurance is awesome!

We have had Embrace for three of our dogs for a number of years and have always had very good experience with the handling of our claims. Claims are paid in a timely manner and most importantly they pay what they say will be paid.. Have not had to use Customer Service much but they have been great also when we did have to contact them.

Horrible experience!

This Insurance is a waste of money!!! It may only be useful for newborn puppies that do not have a Medical history at the vet because of previous Lab results they will relate it to all illnesses and won't cover at least for medications or office visits...Please don't get this insurance if you really want to save money & get covered ! they only want to collect your monthly payments. they will use any previous lab, blood results and relate it to the illness so they won't cover . My dog has a congenital condition (something they say they will cover).

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I honestly questioned whether pet insurance was worth it. Some friends said, "Pet insurance is a must" while others said "It's a waste." We were recommended Embrace by USAA. Let me tell you, I AM SO HAPPY WE CHOSE EMBRACE!!!!! So VERY happy. Now I'll be honest, our first experience wasn't a simple submission. Embrace initially denied the claim. But to Embrace's credit, the e-mail they sent essentially said, "We understand that you won't be happy with this decision and we are willing to re-consider this decision should you have any additional information that might be important for us to know." Nice e-mail, but in today's world so much of what is said (or written) carries no weight. I didn't have much hope. Now, I understood Embrace's reason for initially declining our claim. But I honestly believed it was an error and knew there was additional information I could provide that would correct this error - but I honestly questioned whether anyone would take the time to hear me out even after providing this additional information. TO MY SURPRISE - THEY LISTENED!!!! Their follow-up email was equally responsive, "Based on the additional information you provided, we can overturn the initial decision." Words cannot express how happy I am with Embrace's service. I may not always right, but I do appreciate being listened to. Embrace listens. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

If only all insurance companies responded like Embrace!

I've had Embrace insurance for several years now, but (fortunately) have never needed to make a claim. Right before Thanksgiving, my cocker spaniel, Gromit, tore her ACL and meniscus, chasing Turkeys, no less! My local vet told me that she would need specialized surgery, called TPLO, to give her the best chance at a full recovery. Gromit had the surgery the next week at a specialty animal hospital. The cost of the surgery was $3,400. Since I had never filed a claim, my normal $500 deductible was reduced by Embrace to $350. I had to pay the full amount of the surgery up front, but the hospital faxed in the claim for to Embrace for me. I received an email from Embrace a few days later, confirming that the claim is covered at 80% and that the check was in the mail to me. I was also provided instructions to sign up for direct deposit for any future claims! I had heard nothing but good things about Embrace in the past, and I can certainly attest that my own experience with Embrace has been excellent. I brought Gromit in for a follow-up visit last Saturday, and was describing my positive experience with Embrace to the vet tech on staff. She told me that she has heard from people with other insurance companies about how difficult it can be to get claims paid by them. She was so impressed with my experience with Embrace that she wrote down the company name and contact information and will be recommending Embrace to other pet owners.
