Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

My French Bulldog Bentley has bilateral luxating patella surgery. Embrace paid the surgery claim and now are paying for his physical therapy at the rehabilitation Specialists. I wish I had Embrace Insurance for myself.

I am very happy with the insurance, with my 2 pets it really helps to keep my dogs healthy and you don't have to think twice when your pet needs doctors attention.

I couldn't be happier with this company. I used to have PetPlan and they were great but my premiums were hiked up after a few years and it was too expensive. Embrace was much more affordable, and had all the great aspects of the other company. They have been responsive to my inquiries. My shepherd had a back injury and they have paid for my claims for his MRI, surgery, and rehab. There was even a misunderstanding from my vet records that made them deny a claim, but when I had the vet write them an explanation, they then covered it. Very impressed with their integrity.

I have had Embrace Pet insurance for my "Malt-shi" (Maltese/Shih-Tzu cross) since March, 2016 and have been very impressed at how quickly most claims are processed! My latest claim was for over $3,000 and was sent late in the day of my dog's surgery (Oct. 5) and by Oct. 11, the claim was already processed; today (Oct. 13) the funds were already deposited into my checking account - one week from start to finish! I also greatly appreciate how quickly the Embrace staff responds to emails and questions we may have. Needless to say, I am very impressed! The reason that I gave Embrace a score of 9 instead of 10 is because there were a couple of occasions when the vet's office had sent in claims, but Embrace claimed they had never received them (this was mostly early-on when we first became "Embracers.") Also, our other dog had been insured by both Embrace and another pet insurance company last year, but, due to surgery during the waiting period, we first dropped and then intended to renew his Embrace policy this year, but he had so many exclusions that we decided to insure him only with his original provider even though are not rated nearly as high nor are their premiums as reasonable as Embrace. When we dropped him from Embrace during the "one month trial period" I was given the impression that there would be no charge for this month; however, apparently I was wrong and Embrace still charged me for that month. I didn't mind so much that I had to pay that premium, but feel that this policy needs to be stated more clearly.

I have been with Embrace for several years. I have been very happy with their integrity, honesty and efficiency. They always come through and I don't have to wait for long.
