Don't do it

Tried to file a claim as my cat died of kidney failure and they refused to pay saying it COULD have been related to his cured thyroid. They will try anything to get out of paying. I cancelled my other 2 cats and my daughter is as well. SOOO much wasted money. I am furious. Will be reporting to BBB next. Save your money and put premiums in a savings account for your pets.

Thank God for Embrace Pet Insurance

My 5 year old Dachshund who has been an Embrace Pet Insurance member for 3 coverage years. He uses his Wellness benefit yearly with his yearly checkups and flea and tick preventatives. On July 30, 2018 he had his first herniated disc. Rushed to Purdue University Small Animal Hospital 2 hrs away he had surgery the next day. His bill from his veterinarian as well as his $4700.00 bill from his surgery and hospitalization were uploaded (love that) and processed very quickly. Although there was a slight hiccup, after a discussion with Embrace phone representative and then claim supervisor the entire claim was handled. I was very impressed with their member service representative who was the epitome of a compassionate and caring person. The premiums are very reasonable as compared to Nationwide that they had previously. I am very glad I switched my Dachshunds over to Embrace!

So easy to work with to get reimbursed for claims!

Covered our dog’s many claims this year! Customer service is excellent, but more importantly, we got our money from them without a fight!

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
