Very efficient at processing and…

Very efficient at processing and denying claims. Elevated liver values 1.5 years ago, which are now normal, were used to deny issues related to masses on the spleen diagnosed by elevated anemia (which were normal on the same blood test as the liver). They are unfortunately like so many pet insurers…not worth the money you pay them. You are better off with a savings account than wasting your money and deluding yourself into believing they care about you or your pets. No number of cute pictures can cover up the fact that they don’t pay claims. Period. My Vet has written a detailed explanation appealing the coverage and yet another denial, at least time only partial, to the visits that occurred in this day. These are large claims totally close to 10k. Buyer beware. Maybe they will have an experienced person review the claim and make the right decision but if your pet has been in for ANYTHING they will claim that it is related. Liver values to cancer (not found in the liver) as an example.

To make it short

To make it short, Do not buy this pet insurance. We got this for our puppy, whom of course you hope your puppy is healthy , but with enrolling, they put you into a area of hold,(if you will) while the puppy is processed and checked through with vet records. While this was occurring by pup got a limp/knee buckle at 4 months. So, I get him checked and our vet saw nothing wrong. So I asked for a referral to a specialist, 2 week wait, and she tells me my puppy he has elbow dysplasia. Well, I want a second opinion and we went to that appt., and they determined the same diagnosis and that a bi-lateral arthroscope surgery would be best. We agree to the surgery and then the 4-6 weeks of restricted rest. During this time I send in his claims from ALL vets. They tell my upon reviewing the records, that because he had "a limp" this is a pre-existing condition and they will NOT cover any of the expense. So, I should let you know, if you get a puppy and you hope for a good pet insurance, this is not for you!!! How was I to know this puppy had genetics that were bad with elbow dysplasia? Both parents showed no signs, nor in their lineage either. But it happened and this puppy is loved and cared for and we now have a pup with a life long condition without any insurance. This puppy was only 4 months old when I discovered his limp, and 6 months old at surgery and 7 months when they tell me they won't cover him!! So think long and hard about getting Embrace! Reply to Embrace: He is a puppy!!!! How is there pre-existing ANYTHING! Disappointment? Just slightly!
