How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Wylie Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

We recently moved and needed to find a new vet. After past experiences, it's not the most pleasant task to take on. Well, Wylie Veterinary Hospital changed that for me. They're hands down the best vet I've been too and we 100 percent will be bringing Archer here. From the moment you walk in, the staff truly makes you feel welcome, and you can tell how much care and compassion they have for animals. Usually I've only had to make appointments for routine check-ups and vaccines, but unfortunately my pup was having some allergy issues that got out of hand. Dr. Volpi was nothing short of amazing. She was very thorough and explained everything in detail. Thank you so much for being so wonderful with Archer!!

Recently made the decision to change vets and so happy I did! The first animal I brought in was our newly adopted cat. She unfortunately came to us with ear mites and the clinic was quick to get us in for an appointment. Lori at the front desk was so friendly and Dr. Volpi is OUTSTANDING! Our little girl was treated so well and seemed extremely comfortable being there and with everyone she interacted with. I was so impressed with this clinic and the care for our cat, we will be bringing in our dogs as well.

My daughter's cat was very sick. I called and they were able to fit us into their busy schedule on a holiday no less...They were so caring and sweet with our Luna. Explained everything to us and even when my 12 year old daughter asked questions they explained everything to her. Unfortunately I think we will be returning in the next day or two to have to put our sweet kitty down. But should we ever get another pet, we will definitely use them for all our pet's needs!

Best vet EVER. The staff make you feel like family and talk to you straight. They go above and beyond for you and your pets and the care they show is genuine. Their prices are fair and they are willing to work with you to help take care of your animals. I will continue to refer all my neighbors, friends and family to Wylie Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Johnson.

The staff and doctors are super friendly and take great care to make my anxious cats (rescues with some emotional trauma) comfortable and less stressed. They helped manage the health and wellbeing of my dog and cat who both passed away last year (they lived long and full lives well beyond the average lifespans under their care). They are very knowledgeable and offer various treatment plans. It’s a real partnership and they provide the support and information I need to make the best decision for my pet. I can’t say enough good things about the staff, the technicians, and the doctors. They are the absolute best.
