How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Bayview Seven Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

My dog Brinkley has been seeing Dr. Covant for 6 years ever since he was a 3 months old. Two months ago during yearly checkup, it was discovered that Brinkley has a lump on his upper jaw. So Dr. Covant suggested an operation to remove it. We were overwhelmed by the estimation so we seeked out other vet's opinion. After seeing 2 other vets in the areas, we were more than ever confident about Dr. Covant's professionalism and a fair pricing scheme. So we decided to perform the operation with Dr. Covant. In the end I felt blessed when paying the bill for Brinkley's small operation. From my experiences, the team at the clinic has been very professional and friendly. All pricing has been transparent and up front with me. Nothing in this world is perfect. From all my overall past experiences with this clinic, I found their services to be reliable and professional,

We have brought our pets to Bayview seven for almost 10 years now, and most recently 2 weeks ago. The staff and manager were so caring and lovely that I came to post a review and saw a couple of the other comments. To my husband and I this couldn't be further from the truth! I have seen the doctor and the manager (Sheri?) be absolutely fantastic with other clients while I was there. I also had a lovely conversation with her about her volunteer as a foster home for rescue dogs. I highly recommend this clinic and thank them for treating our pets like their own! - Mary

If I could rate this place a ZERO, I would. Absolutely horrendous. The manager is one of the most disrespectful people I have ever encountered. That woman should be fired. The staff are no better. They were constantly smoking from what I noticed and I worried about the effect it left on our pets. They do their best to overcharge you in all kinds of ways, and will definitely manipulate new owners into buying things they don't need. The place also looks nothing like the pictures. It is desolate and dirty. Professionalism? Doesn't exist. Not only that, but they don't care about our pets. They just want you in and out, and it shows. They just want your money. I would go as far as to say this place may need to be reported. There are many other clinics that will take far better care of both their clients and patients. However, if you want both your pet and your bank account to suffer, this is the clinic for you!

Do NOT, and I repeat do NOT bring your pet here. I have multiple reasons and I'd like to share it with new customers who have no idea who they're trusting their pets to. 1) These people are actually extremely rude. Especially the manager there, Cherry/Chary I think her name is, is the rudest. They do not care about your pets or their well being, and bad mouth them behind your back. Not to mention I smelled cigarette smoke in there once. I would never want my pet close to, or even near these toxic fumes. 2) The people are very fake. Ever since the staff changed their service has declined tremendously. They don't care about you or your pets, and often upcharge you, ESPECIALLY if you're a new pet owner. They try to scam you out of prices, and make you wait a long time regardless of an appointment. One time they even gave me nearly expired medicine for my dog, and when I tried to get a refund or a better product instead, the woman refused and tried to make me buy another set. Do not waste your money on these people, they only care about their own profit. 3) From my experience, they are not good at their jobs and have little sympathy for your pet. I was with my dog just a few months ago, and another woman I spoke with had also brought her dog for a checkup. When she gave them her dog, they brought it to the back of the clinic (for its shots) and I started hearing yelling and howling. I heard something alone the lines of "get this stupid dog to stop moving" and "I can't get a bleed" (from my knowledge, referring to being unable to get blood drawn from the dog when missing a vein) and then crying from the dog. To say I was shocked was an understatement. I was appalled. I refused to get my dog checked here anymore and left right then and there. Even after their the many reasons they gave me to leave, I felt it was my breaking point. To all the new/old pet owners out there, I'd really suggest going to a place that actually cares for the well being of your pet, doesn't yell at them, prick them, try to scam you, and most evidently smoke in such an environment.
