How to Save on Veterinary Costs at VCA Canada Kanata Animal Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance

Such an amazing team! I always know my pets are in the very best hands. The quality of care, professionalism and compassion is of the highest standard. I absolutely love Dr. Choudhry! She is so down to earth and fantastic with my cats. As an added bonus, she is also hilarious but very professional at the same time! I highly recommend Kanata Animal Hospital!

Callie has been going to Kanata Animal Hospital since she was a wee one, which I am very happy to say it will be almost 11 years! She has always been provided with the best possible care! The Staff are exceptional - like family with each other and with whoever walks in through the door. Such a very warm welcome! The Doctors are AMAZING - very compassionate, patient, caring! I cannot say enough about all the Staff at Kanata Animal Hospital! They know how much Callie means to me and they will and have gone above and beyond to make sure that Callie is being taken care of! I have absolutely NO REGRETS choosing Kanata Animal Hospital to provide Callie’s healthcare! All I can say is THANK YOU to all the Staff!!

Not my primary vet however they were able to make a same day appt for me, then an hour later called to say they had an even earlier opening. Vet tech met me outside, very friendly. Vet was also friendly, knowledgeable and offered advice. All covid precautions enforced properly. Price was more than reasonable, expected to pay more. Thinking about making my primary vet.

As a first time dog mom I had a lot of questions and concerns. The vet as well as all the staff were extremely knowledgable and patient with me. I signed up with their puppy care plan and I could not be more thrilled. I just went in for a free nail trimming as part of the plan and was greeted by super friendly faces who already knew her name from memory! I also love the fact that I opted in to text reminders!
