How to Save Money at Seneca Animal Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.
How Do You Choose the Right Pet Insurance Provider?

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Incredible staff, exceptional care. They took me in as a new client on the same day (very busy day!). Have never had a better vet experience. From the front end to the Vet, the staff were amazing. Thank you!

I have been going here for over a year now for my beloved cats, and all the employees are always kind and treat my cats with respect and care. They are always willing to questions and I never feel rushed there. I'm very happy with the service I have received so far.

Dr. Hong is the best! When I brought my newly adopted senior baby in for his first check she was so excited to meet him- it's so obvious she adores her job and clients. She was very gentle with him and gave him a lot of love. She's super knowledgeable and gave me lots of take home info for his condition. The vet techs make taking his blood a breeze- he's comfortable there and so well behaved! He could tell he was safe and in good hands. If you're looking for a great vet look no further!!

Honestly, I’m very disappointed with this place and they cost me a lot of money and we’re trying to cost me even more took my cat cubby in to get checked because she was having some discomfort as I was concerned of her having fleas lots of discomfort and had itchy sensation throughout her body Had a video of it And the lady veterinarian who is taking care of cubby at the time, showed no interest in the video I was showing and stopped watching mid way thru and went back typing on the computer for And all she says is all she’s just grooming herself normally it looks normal then hit me with the while we could do blood test and x-rays and it’s gonna cost by the end of it all it’s gonna be close to $1000 for both of it At the end of my visit, I end up just getting her prescribed some gabapentin for her discomfort, which did help but was pointless for what the actual cause was. I took her to another vet. only to find within a minute of being there that she has indeed does have fleas and it wasn’t just a tiny bit their was lots of flea dirt from what the vet showed me it makes me angry that I spent all this money and my main concern, and I even mentioned the fact that she probably has fleas. They didn’t even comb her or nothing yet I walked out of there with $300 bill, yeah while at this vet, I got prescribed her medication they figured out what was wrong with her for less than that I would think twice about going here if these people are money hungry my grandparents used to come here a lot way back in the day and it makes me wonder how much they took advantage of them, plain and simple they showed no interest in my issue and was more concerned about getting me to pay for blood tests and x-rays and anything and that lady veterinarian is extremely rude Now for anyone reading this I’m not a picky customer and it takes quite a bit for me to make a review… the fact these peoples skill was horrable… the fact you can’t detect fleas on a animal is beyond me… it was completely obvious it took my other vet less than 2 min of being in that room to figure out my issue.. these people wanted to charge me close to 1000$ and if you really think about it how I have went that route and payed for the blood and X-rays how would they detect fleas? What they told Is that she’s in pain and she needs But in all reality, the poor girl skin was so irritated, and they couldn’t detect something that was right in front of them they dident even care when I showed the video… I really hope some people read this and second think this place… yeah they may of helped other people but this shows and I hope no one else ends up in the same shoes as me Update*** my cats condition is getting better each day not thanks to these people I’m really angry that they did this to me just give other vets a very bad rep
