How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Trout Lake Housecall Veterinary Services
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I highly recommend Dr. Cole! His compassion was overwhelming, when it came to our 13yr old cat, who was very ill. He let us take our time and explained everything to us thoroughly. Dr. Coles gentle nature and thoughts helped us through the most difficult time of saying goodbye to Sullivan. Being able to have Sullivan at home in his familiar environment was less stressful for him and for us.

In one of our family's most challenging moments, Dr. Cole provided services that were nothing short of extraordinary. Our beloved 14-year-old Lab mix, Chloe, had reached the end of her journey, and the thought of saying goodbye was overwhelming. Yet, Dr. Cole's arrival at our home marked a turning point in that difficult day. From the moment he stepped through our door, Dr. Cole exuded a calm and compassionate presence that was deeply comforting. He approached our situation not just with the professionalism one would expect from a top-tier veterinarian but with a level of empathy and understanding that truly set him apart. Dr. Cole took the time to explain the process to us, ensuring we understood each step and what to expect, which helped to ease our anxiety and prepare us emotionally. We were comforted by his obvious love and care for animals and were confident we were receiving the best guidance and were in good hands. The compassion and respect Dr. Cole showed us and our beloved Chloe made an inherently painful experience as peaceful as it possibly could be. His support helped us navigate our grief with grace and provided a sense of solace that we will always be grateful for. For anyone facing the heartbreak of losing a pet, I cannot recommend Dr. Cole highly enough. His professionalism, coupled with his genuine care and compassion, truly makes a difference during such a profound moment in life.

I am so grateful to Dr. Cole who took care of Foxy and myself. He explained everything that he was going to do and what to expect at each stage. Dr. Cole was ever so gentle with her and though it does cost more to have him come to your house it is and was worth it. She didn't stress out at all as she was home with me. Thank you Dr. Cole at TROUT LAKE HOUSECALL VETERINARY SERVICES.

Dr Cole was absolutely amazing when we knew we had to put down our cat Mya.I didn't want to stress her out driving to a vet. He came and examined her and deemed it was time for her. He explained everything to us prior in a calm soothing compassionate voice. Each process he would let us spend the final moments with her alone and she went so peacefully. It was beautiful. Thanks Dr. Cole. You made a very difficult situation calming and gave us peace of mind that our little girl did not feel any discomfort at all.
