How to Save Money at Airport Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

After being in a local pet facility for a few days our Molly had kennel cough and was very sick for a few weeks. Called the Airport Animal Hospital and Dr Sing performed a thorough examination, gave me antibiotics and told me to come back in a few weeks and at that time said she was doing well and did not charge me for that visit. Now Molly is back being the pet we all love. As for me that is one of the best caring Hospital and staff in the area, bare none.

I am relatively new to this veterinary clinic from the past year. I rescued 4 cats last year and Airport Animal Hospital took us in as patients. To date we have spayed both girls and neutered the boy. Then the boy had to undergo a serious abdominal surgery to retrieve a blockage. The same Vet did them all. He did a remarkable job on all of my pets. I am so pleased with the outcome. He saved my cat's life. While my boy cat was recovering, we didn't know if he would live or die, the support tech called me every evening to update me for the 3 nights he stayed in hospital. She was so caring and thoughtful. For all the surgeries, my cats all recovered very quickly, and without any problems. I am thoroughly impressed with this Vet and the other. For the general care the support staff were attentive throughout for each cat's care. I received followup calls from the staff for all of the surgeries and other treatments, including their shots, and for mites. My boy cat had mites in his ears and the other Vet who looked after him did a great job. He was engaged, gentle, and knowledgeable. I am so impressed with the care we have received from all of the staff at this veterinary hospital. I highly recommend them.

Extremely difficult to get through to reception-- phone rings off the hook. Front staff are frequently unfriendly and dismissive. Some Vets disregard what you have to say about your pets symptoms resulting in prescribing the wrong medication and having to return for another costly visit. Bottomline: My opinion only, making money comes first before your pets health.

I was previously with another animal hospital and my vet retired. I was not impressed with her replacement. I started searching elsewhere and came across the Airport animal hospital. They took me in and Dr Bassi and his staff treated me real well. They took care of my Labrador retriever until her last days which occurred in February 2024. I found Dr Bassi to be fair in price and a very kind and considerate man. I would recommend this hospital and their staff. If I get another pet later in life, that is where I would go hands down.

I have been called many things in my life but never did I think I would ever be called a racist. Today after waiting an hour at Airport Animal Hospital. The manager came into the room and told me Dr. Singh refuses to be in the same room as me because of the previous appointment I had with Bella and the comment I made. Bella does not to well with unknown men especially men with hats. Dr Singh was wears a turban and I wasn’t sure how to refer to it , so I said she probably doesn’t like your headdress, this comment was after I explained the men scenario to him. So now I am without a vet as I make him feel uncomfortable and he will not see my animals any longer. Needless to say it was on my radar to start looking for another vet, just hard to find anyone local taking new clients. I have spent well over 6,000 in vet bills in the last 6 months and Everytime I go there, it seems like they are constantly pushing for more treatment plans to make more money. They have no bedside manners. There seems to be minimal upkeep inside. And the wait times are insane. There has not been an appointment where I was not sitting in the waiting room for well over an hour everytime. I left today feeling discouraged and to be honest also angry that he is insinuating I’m racist. Everyone that knows me knows that my son is biracial and I am the first one to stand up and defend my son when it comes to racism I do not tolerate it. It is literally the last thing on my mind and certainly was not my intent with Dr. Singh.
