How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Sault Ste Marie Animal Clinic
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Best vet... Hands down. All four of our kids are lucky enough to have Dr Palmer and the team on our side. Excellent service, feels like family ♥️

Dropped our cat as a patient with no warning and left us without a vet for our cat with chronic health issues. I understand vets are limited in Sault Ste. Marie but dropping patients without a warning and without our permission is unacceptable.

The Palmers have been my vet over 30 years. I had many dogs and cats in those years and all were well cared for. Regular vet care as well as broken legs and diseases. Always knowledgeable. Giving me advice on behaviors as well. Terra Huston is a vet tech there that is also so knowledgeable in dog training and helping me with my needs. Please don't retire, I need you all.

Doctor Palmer is an incredible human being. He fit us in, without a scheduled appointment because our Frenchie frequired immediate medical attention. He was easy to talk to and was able to take exceptional care of our pup. It's doctors and staff like that, that make the tough times less stressful. We couldn't thank you enough.

Expert care with great compassion. They've been there for my dogs and cats at the best of times and the worst of times. Last year they told us to come in immediately when my husky, Sam, was in crisis. Sam's last moments were spent surrounded with love, thanks to Dr. Palmer's care. His staff are wonderful as well.
