How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Ellwood Park Animal Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I’ve been taking our 2 cats here since they were kittens. The staff is kind, welcoming, and very helpful! When I brought my kittens for their first appointment they were in rough shape, and the office actually called me a few days later to ask how they were doing! They are very helpful, they make me feel safe that they won’t do anything that is unnecessary. My one cat actually seemed to enjoy his appointment today as he was making biscuits the entire time. I find the vets are very personable and you can tell they all really care about animals.

From front desk to nurses and doctors. This group of animal lovers is absolutely amazing. My baby kitty doesn’t have any fear of the vet and they love him up every time we go. They’re so helpful and kind! Thank you Ellwood.

I am so happy to have Ellwood Park as our Veterinary Team. The entire staff from reception, assistants, techs and vets have been so wonderful to us for every visit. They take all of our concerns very seriously and with open ears and compassion. They are fabulous with my reactive German Shepherd. Taking reactive dogs to the vet can be so stressful, but they are very mindful, accommodating and knowledgeable when it comes to handling stressed/reactive dogs. Highly recommend Ellwood Park for your Veterinary needs. We see Dr. Kelly O'Blenis, and we absolutely love her.

I have written this review four times in the last week and I have deleted it four times as well ..because five stars does not give enough credit to my friends that work at the Ellwood Park animal hospital …care and compassion that they gave to my gentle giant , to deal with a medical issue was over and beyond any other veterinary clinic that I have ever been to.. Dr Kelly has been Toryn’s Dr since we first brought him in for Vaccinations … Dr Kelly was on vacation so everyone else provided the best care and attention to him.. Well Toryn was in care I was meant to feel confident and relaxed… I give 10 STARS AND 100% Quality..
