How to Save on Veterinary Costs at VCA Canada Mills Haven Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

To say Dr.Mudryk is amazing is a total understatement. It’s hard to put into words how amazing she is. Her attention to detail combined with her knowledge and experience are unprecedented. Our puppies (Loretta and Waylon) are lucky to have a Vet this good taking such good care of them!

I took my 3yr old labrador there for his yearly vaccines and addressed an issue with his teeth that he was born with. They were very helpful and removed two teeth to help with an infection and save future issues from happening. They were very caring and took good care of my pup. He still loves going there for follow ups!

Best vet clinic around! Everyone is always so welcoming and just as excited to our pups as our pups are to see them! The moment you walk in you feel cared for. Dr. Mudryk is always so knowledgeable and ready to help in anyway! Thank you to EVERYONE at VCA Canada Mills Haven for all the love care for our pups always!

Took my dog in for a specific concern, but they end up billing for a full check up. I think they are trying to squeeze money and not really taking cost into consideration because the owners just want the best for their pets. The cost for a relatively simple concern (injury) was way too much. They don’t even mention that they are doing a full examination, you find out later. This isn’t my regular vet, we are out of town, so maybe they tried to sneak it in? Idk. Doesn’t seem right. The doctor was very nice and got the issue fixed, but $300+ for a simple scratch is outrageous.

The vet at this clinic killed my dog. Just over a month ago I had a happy healthy young dog, now he is barely holding on. She was negligent and didn’t provide any medication when his symptoms were mild and instead assumed it was allergies and dismissed my multiple pleas for care. Now I am out thousands of dollars in “testing” and he has developed serious irreversible damage with not much time left. The only mistake here was trusting them with my dog. We had so many more years together and now it’s all gone. I regret ever going here. Please do not use this clinic.
