the times that i had to use the insurance, i wwas worry free. I do recommend to people who have a new animal to get Trupanion when they are young..I like having some security as my pets are getting older, it helps me make decisions quicker about their heath. I take very good care of my girls, they see their vet once a year for the annual visit and have all their shots up to date. But I have had to have some additional care for them that was covered and saved me a lot of money so I was happy that some of those costs were covered.

The claim for covering skin allergies was denied because my dog had a skin infection before she was covered. Maybe these are related? Like all insurance, they will do anything possible to not pay the claim.
